Work hard, rest harder is the assignment! After completing the manuscript for my third book, “The Truth In Small Doses,” I was long overdue for a self-care day. Everything aligned perfectly because it was my birthday! @qcspa in NYC was absolutely amazing and everything I needed. This spa sits on a secluded island @governorsisland and spans 100k square feet with the recent expansion! It has something for everyone, and the skyline views of NYC from the pool are incredible. It was the perfect timing, the perfect day, and I was with the perfect spa bestie - my daughter! It doesn’t get any better! Now, back to work. Time for round one of edits! Finishing my third book, and submitting the manuscript to my editor left me both excited and exhausted! I needed an escape, and my goodness, this slice of paradise was exactly what I needed. If you haven’t been to Governors Island, NY, trust me, this is one adventure you’ll want to add to your list! You’ll have to experience this vibe for yourself. It was the perfect treat for my birthday and completion of my manuscript for my third book. The cherry on top was my perfect travel companion - my travel bestie, my road dawg, my navigator, my amazing daughter!
