36 and fine. 😌💅🏾✨

Apparently, this is what 36 looks like… and honestly, I’ll take it! 😂

Older? Yes.
Wiser? We’re negotiating. 👀
Fine? Absolutely.
Blessed? Beyond what I deserve.
Still dramatic? Unfortunately, that factory setting remains. 😂

This year taught me that I don’t need to have everything figured out to know that God is still writing a beautiful story with my life.

So here’s to 36 — more joy, more softness, more audacity, more answered prayers, more laughter and fewer unnecessary problems because surely… I have served my sentence. 😭😂

Today I’m grateful… but if I’m being completely honest, this birthday carries a little more weight.

September has always been my month of beginnings — and also the month I lost my mama. So growing older sometimes feels like holding joy in one hand and a little ache in the other.

But 36 has taught me that both can exist. I can miss her and still celebrate. I can grieve what I’ve lost and still be grateful for what God has given me. I can look at how far I’ve come and say, surely, the Lord has been good to me.

I’m not the woman I was years ago. I’ve been stretched, broken, rebuilt, humbled, surprised, loved, disappointed, and carried. And somehow, through it all… I’m still here. 🥹

Still choosing joy.
Still choosing faith.
Still becoming.

“Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.” — Psalm 30:5

So today, I count it ALL joy.
For the life I have. For the woman I’m becoming. For the memories of the woman who helped make me. 🤍

POV: When you’re slowly mastering the art of not looking like your problems 😂😭

Because babes… life will LIFE. There will be things you prayed about, things you didn’t see coming, things that hurt more than you care to admit… but you’re learning that you don’t have to carry every problem on your face. 🥹❤️

And as I turn a year older on the 9th, I think this might just be my biggest life lesson of 2026: I can acknowledge that something is hard without allowing it to steal my joy.

Big sis reminder: you’re allowed to have a bad day, cry, regroup and still choose joy. We don’t deny the struggle—we just refuse to let it become our identity. 🤍

So yes, the problems are there. 👀
But so is God.
And somehow… we’re still here, still smiling, still becoming. 🥂✨

If you’re new here, meet my mama. 👋🏾❤️
She loved this piece, and today I get to wear something she loved so much.

I wish you could have met her. I wish you could hear her laugh, know her little mannerisms, experience the woman behind all these stories I carry.

But until then, I’ll keep introducing her in little ways… through the things she loved, the things she taught me, and the pieces of her I see in myself.

Market day because sometimes the simple things really are the good things. 🥹🛒🇺🇬

Come with me to Gayaza Market for a little bit of everything — fresh veggies, fruits, dry rations, toiletries and a few “while I’m here…” purchases because you already know how market shopping goes. 😂👀

There’s just something about walking through a Ugandan market, seeing all the colour, hearing all the noise and coming home with bags full of goodness. ❤️🇺🇬

September… be kind. 🥹🤍

A new month with a little more weight to it for me. It’s my birth month 🎂✨, but it’s also the month I lost my mum. So September has taught me that joy and grief can sit at the same table. That you can celebrate life while still missing someone deeply. And that God is still God in both the laughter and the ache.

But this September, I’m choosing hope. I’m choosing gratitude. I’m choosing to believe that there is still beauty ahead. 🌸

“The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning.” — Lamentations 3:22–23

So, my TikTok family… HAPPY NEW MONTH! 🥹❤️
May September be gentle with us. May it bring unexpected joy, answered prayers, divine surprises and the kind of peace that doesn’t need an explanation.

And if this month carries complicated emotions for you too, come sit with me. We’ll hold the joy AND the grief. We’ll count the blessings AND acknowledge the scars.

Nine.

Nine years of you. 🥹❤️

And somehow, every year on this day, I find myself looking at you and thinking, How did I get so lucky to be your mother?

You were the little girl who made me a mother, but you have become so much more than the beginning of my motherhood story. You have been one of the sweetest ways God has shown me what it means to love someone beyond yourself.

I have watched you grow from my tiny baby into this funny, kind, dramatic 😂, creative, beautiful little girl with a personality so completely your own. You talk. You dream. You feel deeply. You love fiercely. You make us laugh. You challenge me. You surprise me.

And if I’m honest, motherhood has not always been easy. I have gotten things wrong. I have been tired. I have had days when I wondered if I was doing enough.

But then I look at you.

And I remember that I get to grow alongside you too.

Nine years ago, I held you in my arms and had no idea who you would become.

Today, I look at you and think, Oh, there you are. 🥹

My first baby.
My girl.
My Maria.

May you never lose the softness in your heart, the joy in your spirit, the courage to be completely yourself, and that little spark that makes you… you.

May God keep you, guide you, protect you and grow you into every beautiful thing He has written about you.

And may you always know this:

Soooo,come with me to my first August wedding 🥳🥳🥳
Today I get to do what I love 💕 but I don’t just want to sing today…

I want to tell the couples story 🥺
I want every lyric to mean something.
I want the room to pause, if only for a moment, and remember why they’re here.👀🤣🤣🤣🤣
