This is my friend @infinity_pilot and I'd like to encourage you to follow his page. For some reason, finding someone else to bounce ideas around with was quite difficult. He helped me in a big way during development of part 5 of my book by letting me work alongside in his fanfiction discord. Some difficult scenes were planned, and some tough dialogue was settled while working there with him and others. taken in Rainbow Bridge by @smigly_writing

I'm on chapter six right now, but I'm finding a lot to be impressed with, and it definitely is helping expand my vision for Union Aerospace. taken in Hamilton, Ontario by @smigly_writing

This is my friend Felix, he's the author of 2222. In his story, due to unprecedented population explosions the world faces dire consequences. Radical militants bring forward in time a monster from the past to achieve their goals. taken in Peterborough, Ontario by @smigly_writing

Although there are undoubtedly well crafted scenes, most notably Sarge possessed by demons, the first person perspective scene and the destructive capability of the BFG 9000, but the underlying narrative was not only an inaccurate retelling of DooM's story, but it actually may have done harm to future scripting attempts.

Genetics may have an important place in DooM storytelling, but by using the 24th chromosome as a method of creating demons in the movie, they re-used story elements from Resident Evil and may have spoiled any further mention of genetics in a #DooM narrative.

The portal technology isn't leveraged enough in the narrative, the closest it got was the mention of an accident that happened previously. The portal reduced to a background element really isn't acceptable.

In my opinion, the movie would've had a chance of bigger success if the events of DooM³ were scriped more closely, or if they chose to explore another point in the timeline. There's more to be said, but those are my biggest issues.

I met Gary and bought two of his novels at local book signings and I'm genuinely interested in what he's worked on. He has a series of thrillers with corporate settings & characters and I'm hoping they'll lend to my collection of ideas for a sequel to forbidden secrets, and to further develop my vision of Union Aerospace. His latest novel is 'Furitive Retribution'. taken in Indigo by @smigly_writing
