This journey started with a dream and was shaped by mentors, family, friends, and a community that poured into me every step of the way. Morehouse has played a pivotal role in my growth, and I’m honored to continue my training at an institution committed to serving and uplifting others.

Miles Simms’ journey to medicine didn’t begin with a childhood dream—it began in a business classroom at @morehouse1867 . But when a biology course sparked his interest and an invitation to the @morehousehcs introduced him to Black physicians for the first time, he realized that medicine was where he truly belonged. 👨🏾‍⚕️

At Morehouse School of Medicine, Miles has embraced his role as an advocate for mental health awareness and breaking stigmas in Black communities. As #MatchDay approaches, he reflects on his journey and the impact he hopes to make in the field of psychiatry.
