Starting to clear the camera roll and post from my camera roll…

Part 1: this was my preflight ritual during an Asia tour in February 2025. My hotel had an amazing spa set up for contrast therapy and it makes such a difference in how I feel before and after long flights. Not all hotel spas are this nice, so I’ll use my building sauna and hot tub with a cold shower or use @classpass to book contrast therapy after long flights that cross oceans/multiple time zones.

I had no idea I would get to see one of my favorite views, from my hotel bedroom but luckily for me, I was right on the Celebration 2026 parade route.

A little cold and rain didn’t stop these groups from sharing songs and dance that have been passed on for generations at the largest gathering of Tlingit, Haida and Tsimshian people in the world.

This is culture. This is tradition.
What a privilege to witness it. And I must come back to learn more.
