Yelnya's ecosystem is unique and fragile. It has been forming for nearly 13 000 years. It's home to hundreds of rare species of insects and plants peculiar to tundra zones. Yelnya, the largest raised bog in Belarus, is a real tundra in the very heart of Europe. It's an international Ramsar site - the highest Nature Protection status in the world. To injure its natural ecosystem is forbidden by the state. Ecological culture (or its absence) is inside each of us. 💚🌾🌾🌾🌦 #гидпоельне🌾 #yelnya #belarustravel #belarustrip #познайбеларусь taken in Yelnya National Landscape Reserve by @smilinalice_2014
