. We were going to announce this a bit earlier but the build up to April Fools would make the genuinity of this announcement questionable. . . 2026 is THE year where we have realised we have outgrown our own shoes ages ago and we simply might soon struggle to deliver the promises we make daily. . . We have a workshop, shop, clothing company, events, travelling, overseas ventures, events company (more on this soon) and our own riding to juggle. . . We have become so busy that without an extra day off we will start failing by mid 2027 considering the trajectory of all things at the moment. . . We are expanding further and we are doing more but it means that occasionally we need to be in 2 places 32 hours travel apart; we simply cannot brace to say no to new opportunities. . . Starting from April 2026 we will close Mondays to make sure the operations can continue unaffected and we can focus on extras we pick up every year. . . If you have ever had a message from us it'll be mentioned in the future messages but please remember we are closed Mondays. This is simply to allow us to do all the things you throw at us in a timely manner. . . . See you at the races. See you in the workshop. See you in the shop. See you wearing SMILINGCHAINLINK. Rough weekend at national champs, I Went the fastest and most confident on the bike i ever had been despite unknowingly riding a rigid fork. A unfortunate crash on Saturday destroyed a lot of my gear and damaged the bike leaving me thinking I was not going to be able to race and missing a load of practice, Luckily @trailrippers @nathan_dev8ux @smilingchainlink @charliebaddeleyy and @roman_mtbcoach were able to help me get back up the hill and set a seeding time, I Came down the hill after a safe run into 32nd. Sunday was going really well initially until 30mins before my race run i realised my fork had completely stopped working however @smilingchainlink where able to do the quickest repair ever and Ian was amazing and able to make it so I could drop last youth rider down the hill. The bad luck didn’t stop there however and my right shoe threw one more challenge in front of me halfway down the hill and it caused me to hit a stump and go otb into a bush. I ended up with 25th in the top split and wondering what it could have been. Still a great weekend riding and seeing everyone and I’ll be back stronger for Llangollen! by @smilingchainlink
