An incredible privilege and honour to have interacted with the Honourable Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, during his recent visit to Malaysia.

What stood out for me was how deeply engaged he is with the experiences of industry, listening closely, asking practical questions, and constantly connecting ideas to outcomes. There is a genuine curiosity about what works on the ground, what holds us back, and how industry and government can work together more effectively.

It is inspiring to see leadership that values enterprise not just as economic activity, but as a partner in achieving larger national objectives.

Grateful for the opportunity, and deeply inspired by this experience. taken in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia by @smitasatvik

This Dhanteras, we had the honour of dedicating our 𝗧𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘂𝗺 & 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘆𝘀 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘁 at the 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗰 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘅 (𝗦𝗠𝗧𝗖) to the nation.

The ceremony, graced by 𝗛𝗼𝗻𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗥𝗮𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗮 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗶 𝗦𝗵𝗿𝗶 𝗥𝗮𝗷𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗵 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗵 𝗝𝗶 and 𝗛𝗼𝗻𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗲𝗳 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗨𝘁𝘁𝗮𝗿 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗵 𝗦𝗵𝗿𝗶 𝗬𝗼𝗴𝗶 𝗔𝗱𝗶𝘁𝘆𝗮𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗵 𝗝𝗶, marked not just the inauguration of a plant - but the illumination of a vision: a self-reliant India built on technological and material strength.

As we celebrate Diwali, we reflect on what this moment represents.
For our 𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗲𝗲𝘀, it is the light of achievement and shared purpose.
For our 𝗰𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀, it is the promise of trust, innovation and global standards made in India.
For our 𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀, it is the expanding circle of opportunity and growth.
For our 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀, it is the realisation of value rooted in national progress.
And for our 𝗴𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, it is proof that public vision and private enterprise together can power India’s rise.

This Diwali, the lamps we light across India glow a little brighter - with the strength of our nation’s confidence, the brilliance of innovation, and the flame of 𝘈𝘢𝘵𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘳𝘣𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘢 that will burn for generations to come.

Wishing everyone a Diwali filled with pride, purpose, and prosperity. #HappyDiwali 🪔 by @smitasatvik

A year ago, I had the incredible privilege of taking on the role of Chairperson of CII Uttar Pradesh, a journey filled with aspirations, challenges, and immense responsibility. Today, as I look back, I am deeply grateful for the support, collaboration, and shared commitment of so many who have shaped this journey alongside me.

The CII Uttar Pradesh Annual Session 2025 was a reflection of everything we have worked towards over the past year. The presence of Shri Manoj Kumar Singh, IAS, Chief Secretary, Government of UP, and the participation of esteemed dignitaries made this a truly special occasion.

From strengthening industry-government collaboration to driving investment and policy reforms, this has been a year of impact. A key milestone was bringing Krishi Bharat 2024 to Uttar Pradesh for the first time, creating India’s largest platform for agri-innovation and transformation.

As I step away from this role, I do so with pride and gratitude—for the relationships, learnings, and achievements of this year. But this is just the beginning! Uttar Pradesh is on its path to becoming a trillion-dollar economy, and I know that CII UP will continue to lead the way.

Here’s to growth, collaboration, and transformation! 🚀

Standing in a room full of inspiring, powerful, and determined women at 𝗜𝗪𝗡 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻’𝘀 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗹𝗮𝘃𝗲: 𝗦𝗮𝘆 𝗬𝗲𝘀 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 in Hyderabad was an electrifying experience! The energy, passion, and unwavering commitment to change were truly inspiring.

A huge thank you to 𝗗𝗿. 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗶𝗸𝗮 𝗞𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗸, whose leadership and wisdom reminded us what’s possible when women lead with conviction.

This was more than just a conversation about breaking barriers—it was about reshaping leadership itself. The future belongs to those who step forward with confidence, who rewrite the narrative, and who create impact beyond individual success.

💡 Leadership is not about permission—it’s about owning your space.
💡 Success is not just personal—it’s about lifting others along the way.
💡 Change happens when we challenge outdated norms and take bold action.

What stood out most at 𝗦𝗮𝘆 𝗬𝗲𝘀 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 was the undeniable power of community. Together, we are not just shaping our own futures—we are redefining leadership itself.

Honoured to speak at the Women Business Leaders Roundtable at Utkarsh Odisha: Make in Odisha Conclave 2025, celebrating women who are shaping industries & redefining leadership.

Under the leadership of Hon’ble CM Shri Mohan Charan Majhi, Odisha is setting the benchmark for Women-Led Development. From Mission Shakti, empowering 70+ lakh women, to World Skill Centre, where 30% of engineering students are women in STEM—Odisha is proving that when women rise, industries thrive!

💡 3 Key Takeaways:
🔹 Technology – Women must be creators of AI, robotics & digital innovation.
🔹 Entrepreneurship – Unlock access to finance, markets & mentorship.
🔹 Skilling – A future-ready workforce begins with aspirational skilling.

Grateful for the inspiring leadership of Development Commissioner Anu Garg & Principal Secretary Shubha Sarma, who are shaping Odisha’s inclusive growth story.

✨ When you invest in a woman, you invest in a community! Let’s continue to build a future where women lead, innovate & inspire.

The 9th Edition of the CII UP Golf Tournament 2025 at Lucknow Golf Club was a perfect blend of sportsmanship, networking, and leadership. Over three days, industry leaders, policymakers, and corporate professionals came together to celebrate not just the game of golf, but also the spirit of collaboration and excellence.

At CII, we believe in building bridges beyond boardrooms—through sports, industry engagement, policy dialogues, and skill development. Events like these reinforce how professional relationships, much like a great golf game, require precision, patience, and perseverance.

It was an absolute privilege to be a part of the prize distribution ceremony, recognizing and celebrating the talent, dedication, and sportsmanship of all the participants. The energy and enthusiasm on the course truly reflected the passion of our business community for the game.

A big thank you to all our dignitaries, participants, sponsors, and partners for making this event a grand success. Looking forward to many more such occasions where we drive progress, one swing at a time. ⛳

As Chairperson of CII Uttar Pradesh, I had the privilege of leading an exclusive interaction with the Welsh Government, reaffirming the strong and evolving partnership between India and Wales.

By fostering collaborations in key sectors such as semiconductors, renewables, and life sciences, we can open new avenues for growth and technological leadership. The discussions highlighted immense opportunities for Indian businesses to establish a presence in Wales while also enabling Welsh enterprises to expand into the Indian market.

The delegation was led by Mitchell Theaker, Head of India for the Welsh Government, and Marylin Kumar, Country Manager – North & East India, Welsh Government. Their commitment to deepening engagement with Indian businesses was evident, and the dialogue provided meaningful insights into the opportunities ahead.

This engagement reinforced the shared commitment of both regions to strengthening trade and investment ties. Looking forward to building on these insights and forging impactful partnerships that drive long-term prosperity.

On Saturday, Lucknow had the extraordinary privilege of hosting a session with Shri Vikas Swarup, a celebrated diplomat, acclaimed author, and an exceptional storyteller, at an event organized by CII Uttar Pradesh.

Titled 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱𝘀, the session brought together Shri Swarup’s profound experiences from his diplomatic career and his journey as an internationally acclaimed writer. Over two hours of captivating conversation, Shri Swarup shared fascinating anecdotes, lessons, and reflections, leaving the audience deeply inspired.

With stories that transcended boundaries, Shri Swarup recounted his experiences as an Indian Diplomat in Turkey and Addis Ababa, sharing behind-the-scenes stories of the complex and dynamic world of diplomacy. He spoke about how diplomacy and storytelling share a common thread: building connections, fostering understanding, and shaping narratives that matter.

The audience was enthralled by the story of how Q&A, a novel written in an incredible period of 2 months, transformed into 𝗦𝗹𝘂𝗺𝗱𝗼𝗴 𝗠𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗲, an 𝘖𝘴𝘤𝘢𝘳-𝘸𝘪𝘯𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘨𝘭𝘰𝘣𝘢𝘭 𝘱𝘩𝘦𝘯𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘰𝘯. Shri Swarup’s reflections on this journey were as inspiring as the story itself—highlighting themes of resilience, chance, and the power of a compelling narrative.

We extend our deepest gratitude to Shri Vikas Swarup for his time, wisdom, and stories that left an indelible mark on everyone present. A big thank you also to the dignitaries present and our audience, whose enthusiasm and engagement made the session even more special.

This was more than just an event - it was an exploration of ideas, resilience, and the art of connecting worlds, both real and imagined.
