This is a project that I simply want to be part of. I’m so pleased to be supporting the PR for this year’s Bury St Edmunds Literature Festival, a festival that continues to bring brilliant writers, thoughtful conversations and a real sense of community to one of my favourite local towns.

Last night was the programme launch with the wonderful Patrick Gale in conversation with Artistic Director @mskatesawyer, marking the start of what promises to be the festival’s biggest year yet.

This October, Bury St Edmunds will welcome bestselling authors, exciting new voices, workshops, walks, food events and so much more. Including a food programme expertly curated y the brilliant @millerstale.

It feels a privilege to play a small part in helping share this fantastic festival. Congratulations to Kate Sawyer for a brilliant line up. Excited for October. by @smithandbaxter

The sun shone throughout the @britishlibrary Food Season Big Weekend. Thought provoking, entertaining and really moving events on all aspects of the food and drink world. Covering subjects as wide ranging as food photography, seaweed, palm oil, the Silk Roads, the Irish Kitchen and how couples work together in the kitchen. Applause to the dream team @the_history_cook @melissafood @angela_clutton @joe.allen.food for creating two days of magic 💖 by @smithandbaxter

Delighted to be working on the publicity for Pasta Therapy, a beautiful and deeply personal new book by @isabella.sicily and a foreword by @melissa.hemsley.

The book explores how the simple ritual of making pasta can offer comfort, calm and connection. Alongside more than 100 delicious recipes inspired by Isabella’s Sicilian heritage, it is a moving reflection on food, memory and healing.

Being surrounded by so much love is something I’ll cherish forever.

When I first started sharing The Malay Cook, it came from a place of wanting to fill a gap within me, to ease the loneliness of life in some way. To now see it being celebrated feels really surreal.

I cook and host as a way to keep memories alive. In a world where tech keeps prevailing, this is my act of resistance, a reminder that real connection will always win.

I couldn’t do any of this without the support of beautiful people and brands who believe in this ethos. @bettinas_kitchen_studio opened its doors for the first time to host this dinner in this most beautiful space. Ceramics by @gaya.ceramic from Bali. Flowers by @mcqueensflowers represented my eternal love for my grandmother and will always be part of my dinner table. @amandla_wine , made by women who love and care, who break barriers and stand tall @smithandvine_wine for sourcing them. And no food goodie bags, only beautiful lux bodycare products from @necessaire , just how I like to do my events. Non conforming, a little different, a little like me.

Food is so intertwined with every aspect of our lives, and this is my way of sharing that. No two events will ever be the same.

I couldn’t have done it without all the guests who came despite the tube strike (again)! , and @smithandbaxter @fiona_c_smith , who is one of the best at bringing everyone I adore into one room. You’re truly a gem!

It was another dream come true. I still can’t believe how The Malay Cook is resonating with so many of you.

One of my favourite projects of the year is back. Delighted to be working with the British Library Food Season once again, sharing news about an inspiring programme of events that bring together some of the most interesting voices in food, culture and history.

Expertly curated by @the_history_cook @angela_clutton and @melissafood, this year’s line-up is another brilliant one. The Season launches with The Big Weekend on 13th and 14th June. @britishlibrary by @smithandbaxter

What a night.

I went into yesterday feeling nervous, excited, grateful… all at once. And I left feeling something even bigger, a deep appreciation for everyone who helped bring Lebnani to life.

This book carries so much of me, of my story, of where I come from… and seeing it connect with people already is something I’ll never take for granted.

Thank you to everyone who showed up, who supported, who believed in this from the start. Your belief gave me the push to keep going.

And Fiona @smithandbaxter for your passion, your belief, your constant support… truly amazing. Thank you for being such an important part of this.
