A lot of new faces around here lately, so I thought I’d reintroduce myself.

I’m Heather, the owner of Smith & Hearth. After 16 years in residential construction, I decided to focus on the parts I’ve always loved most: floorplans, design, and creating beautiful spaces for people to gather.

Smith & Hearth offers custom floorplans, interior design, and curated tablescapes for dinners, showers, parties, and events.

If you’re new here, I’m so glad you found me. And if you ever need help with a floorplan or a table that feels extra special, reach out. I’d love to help.

The cloche trick you need to know!

Ever tried filling a cloche only to have everything move around when you put the lid on?

Here’s the trick! Flip your cloche upside down, fill it with whatever you love, place the base on top, and flip the whole thing over.

Skulls for Halloween, ornaments for Christmas, or something pretty for everyday. The possibilities are endless!

Save this little trick for later!

Two months of Smith & Hearth!

What started as an idea has turned into something I’ve had so much fun bringing to life.

The past two months have been filled with beautiful tables, new friendships, lots of dishes (probably too many), and so much learning along the way.

I just want to say thank you to everyone who has booked a table, purchased dishes, shared a post, recommended me to a friend, or simply followed along. Every bit of support means more than you know.

I’m so excited to see where Smith & Hearth goes from here. Thank you for being part of these first two months!

Here’s to many more gatherings around the table.

Cheers! Heather taken in Fort Worth, Texas by @smithandhearth

Who says Thanksgiving has to match?

We’re mixing vintage charm, unexpected colors, and a little personality into the Thanksgiving table this year.

Traditional browns, pretty pinks, rich greens, and a touch of blue. Because sometimes the prettiest tables are the ones that break the rules.

Hosting Thanksgiving? Let Smith & Hearth take care of the table settings, coordinating centerpieces, styling, and all the little details so you can enjoy the gathering.

Limited Thanksgiving availability remaining! Message us to reserve your date.

Now, tell us. Which combination is your favorite?

Matching china is overrated.

Give me a little floral, a little gold, a few mismatched patterns, and something completely unexpected.

Somehow, it all just works.

It’s Friday, it’s October, and we’re feeling a little dramatic.

A little moody, a little spooky, and a whole lot of pretty. The Black Dahlia might just be my favorite kind of Halloween party. by @smithandhearth

A little spooky. A little fall. And still pretty enough for dinner.

I wanted this table to feel more collected than themed. Mustard dishes, navy, layers of fall foliage, walnuts, candlelight and just enough skulls to make it October.

Faux flowers don’t have to look faux.

Start dark, layer in a little color, bend the stems, and give everything some height and movement. The trick is not making it too perfect.

Moody. Collected. Done.

Follow Smith & Hearth for more tablescape tips, styling tricks, and a little encouragement to set the table.

Meet The Black Dahlia.

She’s moody. She’s dramatic. She invited a few skeletons to dinner.

Halloween, the Smith & Hearth way.
