Dr. Douglas Lawrence delivered my daughter in 1997, and during the delivery I experienced severe bleeding that was terrifying. He later tied my tubes and performed a biopsy for endometriosis, telling me everything was fine.
Years later, I learned there had been concerns involving my ovaries that I did not feel had been clearly explained to me. I also found lymphoma documented in my medical records, and I ultimately battled Stage IV lymphoma at just 24 years old while my mother was dying from metastatic breast cancer.
My experience taught me how important it is to request your medical records, ask questions, and get a second opinion when something does not feel right. Patients deserve clear communication and honesty about their health. by @smithchevonia

9/9 PORTAL PRAYER FOR HEALING & HELP ✨
Today, I release the belief that I must carry every health battle alone.
I have survived Stage 4 cancer, and I continue to face IIH, autoimmune diseases, chronic pain, migraines, spinal problems, neuropathy, and many invisible struggles.
God, I am asking for help.
Send me the right doctors, treatments, resources, support, and people who truly care. Give me the courage to speak up when I need assistance and the strength to receive it without shame.
I release fear, exhaustion, and suffering in silence.
I welcome healing, peace, protection, restoration, and renewed strength.
I am worthy of help.
I am worthy of healing.
