John Davis Castillia-
Long before I stepped onto a television or film set, my father, Jose E. Castilla Sr., introduced me to horseback riding. I didn’t realize it then, but those early years helped shape the man—and eventually the actor—I would become. Riding taught me patience, confidence, discipline, and the importance of remaining composed while still being fearless enough to move forward.

Those lessons followed me all the way to Chicago. by @smithdoghmi

THE 2027 MET GALA IS OFFICIALLY JOHN GALLIANO

The Costume Institute just dropped the news: Spring 2027 will bring John Galliano: Horizons to The Met Fifth Avenue!

Spanning 40 years of boundary-pushing design—from his 1984 CSM graduation to Dior couture and Maison Margiela—Galliano becomes only the third living designer ever honored with a solo exhibition at The Met.

The 3 Exhibition Movements:
Bearings: Directly examining his past, career rupture, and ethical accountability alongside artistic achievement.

Horizons: Exploring his sources of inspiration across history, geography, and performance art.

Atlas of Transformation: Unpacking his legendary creative process through research books, toiles, and fittings.

The red carpet for the First Monday in May 2027 is going to be historical, controversial, and unforgettable.

Drop your hot take in the comments: Which archive piece are you hoping to see on the Met steps?

"Beyond the mirrored glass and the award-winning silhouettes lies the true 'Beautiful Soul' of this collection: the spirit of a global legacy that refuses to be confined.

As we move through these pages, we aren't just looking at a home or a gown; we are witnessing the 'Insignia' of a life lived with 'Sincerity' and strong intent. This is the 'Golden Door' we promised at the start of our journey—a place where the heritage of the past meets the high-fidelity vision of the future.

It is a cinematic finale that leaves us not at an end, but at a beginning, standing on the balcony of a 'Metallic Dawn' and looking toward the next horizon."
