2026 has been a rollercoaster of a year! It’s been filled with incredible life-changing moments, frustrating challenges, exciting new adventures, nagging health challenges, and everything in between. No matter the circumstance, I am forever grateful and incredibly lucky to experience it all, because seven years ago today I had a stem cell transplant that allows me to enjoy every single high and find beauty in all the lows. Today is my re-birthday 🥳. It has been six years since my stem cell transplant, and as I scroll through my camera roll, I am overwhelmed by how much LIFE I have lived since July 11, 2019. There have been concerts, vacations, weddings, funerals, laughter, tears, births, successes, failures, new houses, fights, make ups, breakups, celebrations, anniversaries, tragedy, joy, and the randomness and the mundane parts of everyday life. I am also reminded of all the people who have been part of these moments. Some have left; most remain; but all are important. I’ve learned that living—LIFE—is all of it. The good and the bad. The light and the dark. My stem cell transplant extended my life, and all that comes with it. Today, I am grateful for all of it. The highs AND lows. Today, I am grateful to be ALIVE and to embrace, and feel, all that comes with living. 💝 by @smithersm
