Just a start but spent nap time pulling out all of the things I have been collecting (hoarding) & squirreling away in the little nooks of our house. I am officially team gallery wall! Eh it’s a little cluttered but it’s also memories and personality. And I’m now fully convinced this trim needs to be a dusty blue green. I can’t even look at it white for one more day 😆 also I want to turn this porthole into an actual window but I think I’ll save that for the next house. Will share the whole thing when it’s done! by @smithstreetdesign

Life since we have had the twins has been joyous and wonderful, but it’s also been really hard. The level of exhaustion I feel to my core is next level. I work, and I mom. I don’t really have time for anything else.

I came to London to visit a best friend that moved here. We spent the day boppin around the city, a spritz here and there. She humored me with some design shop visits. No nap times to hold to, no one asking me for a snack or a ride. No schedules or pickups or drop offs. It was glorious. Just what I needed!

I haven’t been to Europe in 15 years & just as I remembered I am sooo inspired by how old everything is. we just don’t have this history in the states.

Here are some snaps of things I ❤️ today

Also googling how to get a London taxi cab back to CT as my daily driver 😂 taken in London, England by @smithstreetdesign

This week in pics & lots not pictured as I am terrible at capturing. Was a busy one. Can someone pleaseeeee buy this giant porthole and paint it a cool color and make it a door to a hidden playroom or something? by @smithstreetdesign

Waiting on some corbels for this laundry room but almost there. Laundry is upstairs but we repeated the blue from the mudroom also seen here. Oh also this gingham tile took 9 million years to arrive and when it did it was totalllllly different than the sample but then we ended up loving it after a lil pivot. It all works out in the end! by @smithstreetdesign

Sometimes you just have to trust your gut and not listen to the popular opinion! Here are 10 ways I did that in our home, even though we don’t plan to be here forever. In fact, the more I stop worrying about what other people think or resale value, the more I like the outcome. I hope this inspires you to trust your gut or get natural stone counters because that’s what you really want 😂 by @smithstreetdesign

Hours of drawing, hours of planning, months of work by talented trades, a couple of babies born along the way. I’ll never forget my husband having to drive me to a site visit here because I wasn’t cleared to drive yet post twins arrival. So yes it was hard, ha! But Moms can do anything 💪 by @smithstreetdesign
