thank you, for everything. i’m forever thankful that i got to be a part of your life. a dear friend of mine said when you walked by us one time “it’s rare to see him and it’s even rarer to have a moment alone with that kid- but whenever you do it always feels like a treat” and it always was. getting to have spent so much time in the studio, eating lunch with doctor g in her classroom and being up to our shenanigans. you guided me and built me to the creative i am today. you believed in me- and i’ll never forget that. i loved getting to edit and shoot with you, it was inspiring. i’ll miss our days in the studio messing around and taking pictures of eachother, turning our outtakes into cursed images and deep frying them until we couldn’t see what we originally had made. you were an incredible friend and i don’t know what i did to deserve someone as amazing as you, and i’m incredibly thankful for it. you were a true friend and such a genuine person. you had incredible taste, and always knew how to make things interesting and get me to laugh on my roughest days. i’m so glad i got to know you ryan, and that you were a part of my life. i’m glad i drove across the state just to hang out with you again and shoot together one last time. you were a true friend. i’ll miss our conversations and adventures, you were awesome to be around. it still doesn’t feel real to be honest and i don’t know if i’ll ever be able to fully process it but wherever you are, i hope you’re at peace. you’ll always live on in my heart and through my art. gone but not forgotten. rest in peace ryan. by @smithywheeze

this isn’t my story to tell. it’s time for us to listen to the voices that have suffered. we cannot turn back and just stop now because the movement is no longer trending. black lives are still being murdered for their skin. there’s still lynchings being ruled out as suicides. be the change you want to see in the world, if we got minneapolis to disband their police force and an autonomous zone in seattle we CAN take this to the capitol and change the entire system now. we are on the verge of something HUGE, so don’t give up now. keep signing petitions and keep protesting. strike fear in congress. and if you’re not angered, get mad. black lives have been in danger and suffering for too goddamn long. #blacklivesmatter by @smithywheeze
