since Бык put a summer soup with Prosecco on the menu, i’ve been loyal.

at least some things in life are easy to be certain about.

most aren’t.

because disruption changes the environment faster than we can build certainty

and if the conditions keep changing, waiting for the perfect ones is not an option.

we have to prepare for what we cannot predict.

because we don’t train for perfect conditions.
we train for the storm

uncertainty makes us ask:

“am i on the right path?”

to answer that, you first need to know:

where do you want to go?
what do you want to become?

you can’t know if the path is right
until you know where you want it to take you

even then, you won’t have all the answers.

you cannot wait for complete information before choosing a direction.

in disruption, certainty comes too late to be useful

so stop looking for certainty. look for enough clarity to take the next step

okay, clarity?

we don’t think our way into clarity.
we explore our way into clarity.

you move, test, learn, and adjust.

clarity is created through action

and with clarity comes:

clarity → conviction → commitment

clarity doesn’t remove uncertainty.

it gives you enough conviction to make a decision and put your weight behind it

you don’t navigate uncertainty alone, you have a support system.

what is a support system?

it’s your people.

people who have your back.
people who carry you when you need it.
people who open possibilities.
people who challenge you.
people who have a different map.
people who bring a different perspective.

so expand your support system

the future will stay unpredictable.

you won’t always have certainty.
you won’t always have the whole map.

but you can know your direction.

каждый раз думаешь - ну хуже уже точно быть не может.

помню, как после сложной осени я улетела во Вьетнам работать до декабря. переосмысляла всё, что произошло, и составляла план, как теперь это исправлять.

а в какой-то момент меня как током ударило, думаю, надо лететь на Новый год домой. увидеть родителей.

When I moved to Germany, I told my host family (through Google Translate) that I wanted to speak German like a native within a year.

No one believed me.

At first, I sounded like a little kid. I mixed up words, asked people how to say the simplest things, and made mistakes in almost every conversation. People laughed. Sometimes I laughed too.

Looking back, I wasn’t embarrassing myself because I was failing.

I was embarrassing myself because I was trying.

If I had been too afraid to look stupid, I would never have passed that exam a year later. And I definitely wouldn’t still be hearing, years later, “Your German is incredible.” I worked for that.

So that’s why I’ll never make fun of someone for being a beginner. I’ll never laugh at someone who’s starting something new.

A blog.
A business.
A new language.
A different career.

In fact, I’ll cheer for them, because I know what that stage feels like.
