Luckily, it's stupid simple if you follow these steps: Step 1: Find an empty garage bay near a gas station Step 2: Apply for your BAR + Smog Station licenses at bar.ca.gov Step 3: Lease your equipment from Opus Global for ~$800/month Step 4: Hire a certified technician on Indeed Step 5: Set up your Google Business profile Step 6: Open the doors. $60 per car, 15 cars a day So you put $10,000 down to open your first shop… You make $7K–$12K profit every month… That's $84K–$144K a year per location! But that's not the best part… Smart families teach their kids how to work inside the business. They get lessons on hard work, entrepreneurship and how to manage a business. This pays for their college if they want to go. And when they're old enough, you can pass the business down. 6 years ago, I opened my first smog shop.
