Meet @4idan0kashi!

Nadia is an Arab Latina (double-spicy) trans woman, multidisciplinary artist and community builder. She has practiced, taught and competed in various martial arts for the past 10 years. The very spaces she devoted all this time to ultimately ostracized her because of her identity.

Today, Nadia strives to connect marginalized folks and celebrate their practices collectively. Her favorite project at the moment is HEX HOOX: a free, QTBIPOC-exclusive martial arts class at The Hangout 070!

At Brotein Bar, Nadia will be touching on some (mixed) kickboxing fundamentals: movement, striking and embodiment. The class will make use of BOLD and EXPLICIT consent, and as an able-bodied person, Nadia will strive to make it as disability-friendly as possible, and wheelchair accessible!

Meet @esra.vitayoga!

Esra (they/them) is a yoga teacher, social worker and activist from Nijmegen.
Yoga is endless self-exploration for them. The dance between tension and relaxation, holding on and letting go, keeps fascinating them. This will play a part in the class.

During the class you will be invited to turn inward and explore what you find there. Of course there will always be room to goof around and laugh as well.

The class will be slow and exploratory and can be practiced from a mat or chair.

Yoga in the Garden at ABC Libertas 🌿
with Sam Zanardo

After the great success of last year, the yoga classes in the beautiful garden of ABC Libertas are back!

Join us for a gentle series of outdoor yoga lessons guided by queer yoga teacher and movement facilitator Sam Zanardo. These sessions are open to all levels and invite you to move, breathe, and reconnect with your body in a welcoming and inclusive environment.

🕐 Fridays, July 10th, 17th, 24th and 31st from 10:30 to 11:30 AM

🎒 What to bring:
Your own yoga mat

Introducing 𝕭𝖗𝖔𝖙𝖊𝖎𝖓 𝕭𝖆𝖗: a hot queer sports day by and for our community.

We’re bringing together movement, fun physical games and workouts, so come sweat and grind with us! Whether you’re coming solo, with friends, looking for love, or simply a lovely Sunday afternoon, we’ve put together a packed program full of fun, movement, and community.

For many of us, De Kurk is much more than a café. It is a gathering place, a second home, and a space where community happens every day. So we thought: how amazing would it be to transform our favourite queer bar into a gym for a day?

The event will feature a full-day program including movement sessions, workshops, community games, a DJ set, and a free community dinner to refuel after all that hard work.
Brotein Bar is made possible through the generous support of the @gemeentearnhem, alongside a group of amazing sponsors who are helping us turn this event into the joyful, community-centred celebration we envision.

It’s finally happening! ❤️‍🔥

Starting July 1st, I’ll be offering Queer Strength Trainings at @hybridfit_nogravity!

These trainings are open to different bodies, abilities, and levels of experience. Whether it’s your first time stepping into a gym or you already feel at home in training spaces, these classes are designed to move and work out together in a focused yet playful group setting.

The goal is to develop awareness, confidence, and autonomy in your body while building strength, sweating together, and engaging with new challenges!

What we’ll focus on:
☆ 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 We’ll work with weights, resistance bands, and bodyweight exercises, with a strong focus on technique.
☆ 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 We’ll move through different intensities and work on stamina through dynamic training formats.

What to bring:
☆ A towel  ☆ A water bottle
☆Training clothes and shoes

Pro tip: Try not to wear binders during training, as it’s important to breathe freely during workouts and binders can become unsafe during intense exercise. There are changing rooms available at the gym :)

The trainings will take place every Wednesday morning from 9:30 to 10:30.

The exhibition features works by me and seven other artists who took part in De Uitspraak, in collaboration with the Palace of Justice in Arnhem.

Had the best time performing at @paleisvandeweemoed last kings night, and finally gave sam(uel) the boyfriend(zzz) they deserve!🫦🩸

Shoutout to @mates_and_masc.ara team, which took care of their performers in the best way possible, to my other inspiring co-performers-creatures-kings who absolutely burned the stage down and to the wholesome crowd!
