Mr Cat 🐈 ❤️
Plate lithography with hand-painted detail mounted on cardboard. Single edition, based on an original illustration.

Today, I've been working on a couple of prints in tribute to my wonderful furry best friend, Amadeus, who sadly passed away at the beginning of December. This is a single edition print and is mounted on cardboard taken from a slightly ratty amazon box that he used to sleep in 🥰. It's hard to see in the photos, but I've given him a glittery finish, befitting of his iconic fabulousness. 😇✨️

The Printmaker 🖌🖨
Plate lithography based on an original illustration with hand-painted gold detail ✨️

A slightly tongue-in-cheek riff on my Tarot project, not for inclusion in the final deck!

I've been feeling that the gold I was using for my Tarot series wasn't popping out enough so I decided to give them a little refresh with a warmer, more sparkly shade ✨️✨️

The 30th anniversary of Coming Up by @suedehq is .. er.. Coming Up this year, so here's a little flashback to a fun project I worked on to help design a board game in 2016 for the 20th.

The game mechanics may have been a shade over-engineered (ok, borderline unfathomable) but you get to have a little mini-suede-person to play as and do suede-themed charades, so it's still a good time by any reasonable yardstick.

(Ps. the cigarette is not mine, and does in fact belong to a member of suede).

Stuck Here 👻🌟
Glow in the dark hand printed stickers
Plate lithography from original illustrations, with hand-painted detail.

Hand printed onto sheets of matte sticker paper prepared with glow in the dark paint then cut out, also by hand, to make cute little sticky-back-mini-prints 😊😇

OOH STICK YOU! 🐦‍⬛🦊🦩📼🦕🎮
Hand printed stickers
Plate lithography from original illustrations, with hand-painted detail.

This project was pretty much the definition of 'why do something the easy way when you can do it the slow and time consuming way instead' 😅 but I'm really happy with how they came out 🎉

I also made some fun glow in the dark ghosties which I will upload in their own post. 👻

Exoskeleton 🕷🦴
Plate lithography with hand-painted detail, based on an original illustration.

I'm a reformed arachnophobe, but hadn't made a print of one yet so felt it was time! In a strange bit of boundry-pushing serendipity, a few days after I was working on the illustration a rather large specimen dive bombed my face while I was reading in bed. It's been a rather spidery week..

Tuna 😻🐟
Plate lithography with hand-painted detail, based on an original illustration.

The second of two prints in tribute to this big furry character, who sadly is no longer with me. I will be putting this one up on my website for sale shortly, with all proceeds going to Edinburgh Cat Protection League.
