Brooklyn-based glitch-gaze ensemble @smush.bk are winding down the year with news of the proper follow-up to their 2024 debut full-length.

'i’ll always wish..' is slated to drop January 22, with lead single “milkweed butterfly” seeing the group continue to retool their modern shoegaze sound with percussive elements of drum ’n’ bass and Emily Borrowman’s clean vocals. The track was produced by Witches Exist’s Jackson Baker

just one more week until our biggest run yet starts.,new music to follow. it’s been years in the making but in some ways it really feels like we are just getting started. please give wilson a warm welcome to the family and if you haven’t met rudi say hi to him too

⋆˚࿔ pictured in slide one is our friend hank who has been an enormous supporter of us since the beginning.

photography in music can be an elusive and frustrating chase. on one hand you are attempting to capture the essence of something that is inherently non-visual. on the other, you are telling a side of the story that can never be heard.

hank has showed us how this can unfold when you open your heart to people and ask of them only to be their honest self, seen and shown as they are. his photos have taught us again and again about who we are and who we want to be.

we miss him dearly since he left new york and we advise that if you are in the los angeles area and happen across him you would be very fortunate.

8 weeks of road ahead of us ;, we are all in. friends, laughter and loud music to celebrate. we wanna meet and hug at the shows. all of us are looking for a little more insight to what this whole thing is all about in the first place and it’s only together that we can figure it out.

every time we embark on a journey like this it feels like the picture becomes a little clearer. ‧₊ ♪˚⊹

hope to see you there
all our love
