See you all on Sunday 28 June for the last slam before summer break!

Highlighting our friend, supporter and volunteer the unmissable @terrenceweijnschenk

Terrence showed up at one our first slams and told stories, brought friends and his good humor and energy to the slams from day 1. Since then he’s been volunteering, helping the audience navigate the fuckbuckets and signup sheets and jumping in wherever needed.

Make sure you say hi next time you see him!

Time to highlight another of our fabulous volunteers! @miss_strawberry_drizzle
‘I volunteer for SmutSlam because where else do you get raw storytelling, silly confessions, laughs, emotional honesty, and a room full of supportive weirdos all in one night?
It’s not just about sex(y) stories — it’s about connection, confidence, and hearing people share experiences without shame. I love being part of an event where strangers become a community for one night through storytelling, opennes and vulnerability.
Volunteering lets me help create an atmosphere where people feel safe to be bold, authentic, and celebrated exactly as they are.’

Highlighting another wonderful volunteer and supporter of Smut Slam @iarabanchikalmasia

My name is iAra (she/her). I am a Latinxs theatre maker based in Utrecht, working on participatory performances where I invite audiences to rethink and talk together about taboo topics such as consent and sexuality.

My practice focuses on creating spaces that encourage collective reflection and conversation around these subjects. My work has been shown at festivals such as Viva la Vulva and The Future is Now.

Currently, I am co-creating the performance OUT LOUD, TOGETHER with Ari Ochoa (aka @alfa_hoer ). Ari and I met three years ago at Smut Slam, and have been collaborating since. The piece will have its first try-out at the Amsterdam Fringe Festival (September 3–13). It explores the experience of the FLINTA kinky community, and will premiere on November 14 and 15 at Frascati. @amsterdamfringe @frascatiamsterdam @vivalavulvafestival
