New week new work. We’re excited to be adding some very cool videos we’ve been working on to our portfolio (and here!). And we’ll share some more in the process. taken in New York, New York by @smwhereco

Somewhere produces campaign imagery for brands that believe a great image does more than show a product: it creates desire. We build the visual world around your product from the ground up: art directed, spatially considered, and delivered with a professional process that integrates seamlessly with your team. by @smwhereco

The best beauty brands don’t sell products. they sell a feeling. The weight of a glass bottle. The ritual of a morning routine. The way a scent makes a room feel like somewhere else entirely.
That’s what we art direct.
Somewhere Studio works with DTC beauty brands who know their product is special and need visuals that prove it. If that’s you, we should talk. by @smwhereco

Over the past couple of years, we’ve had the privilege of being the messengers traveling back and forth between the smallest details of your spaces and the wonderland of your vision. Translating the unseeable into visuals. Getting screenshots of excited client messages. It’s what kept us going.
We’ll continue working with our existing clients through the end of the year. Starting in July, we’re no longer accepting new rendering work — we’re shifting our focus entirely to product campaigns.
We’re bringing the spatial vision we’ve built through years in design, architecture, and interiors to create striking imagery for brands where aesthetics matter as much as the product. We love beauty, and we love working with those whose mission is to bring more of it into the world.

Imagining the INFERNI STOOL by @ccmoulton in the Rembrandt tulip pattern.

The Tulip Breaking Virus.
In 17th century Holland, tulip bulbs were trading for the price of houses. The most coveted were the “broken” ones — flowers that had shattered into flames and spots of color, as if painted by hand. Nobody knew why. Growers tried everything to replicate the effect: pigeon droppings, paint powder, borrowed alchemists’ techniques.
The answer was a virus, carried by aphids, quietly suppressing pigment production and exposing the base color underneath. The most beautiful tulips in history were sick ones. The pattern was eventually eradicated from growers’ fields entirely. What remains are bred hybrids that carry the memory of it.

A special little something coming to San Diego this late summer.

We got the call before the doors were even hung — brought in early to build out the full visual campaign for a new sushi concept still under construction. The idea: don’t wait until opening day to start building an audience. Get ahead of it.
By the time the first plate lands on the table, the brand is already out there — social presence built, ads ready to run, story already being told. No scramble. No delay. No expensive rush shoot on opening week.

Just a business that opens with momentum instead of playing catch-up.
More soon. 🍣 taken in San Diego, California by @smwhereco

An exercise in contrast.
Gloss and shadow, softness and edge.
This one was rendered for quiet intensity.
