I am deeply honored to share that Governor Spanberger has appointed me to the Virginia Council on Women.

As a first-generation Venezuelan American, I am excited to work alongside outstanding leaders and am grateful for the opportunity to learn from their diverse experiences and perspectives. Serving on the first council under a female governor is especially meaningful, and I am eager to help move Virginia forward and inspire more women to lead.

In this role, I will advise the Governor on issues that affect the education, careers, culture, and civic engagement of women in Virginia, and support programs that create more opportunities for women and girls in the Commonwealth.

Hi friends - as you may have seen in the news,
Venezuela was struck by two back to back earthquakes around 6:00pm on Wednesday, June 24th. One of the most affected areas being my hometown of Caracas and nearby La Guaira.

The country was already facing years of economic and infrastructure challenges, leaving emergency services, hospitals and rescue teams unable to effectively handle a crisis of this magnitude.

The situation is truly devastating with thousands of people still missing, hundreds of deaths and mounting injuries. Communication lines are broken and power outages are affecting entire communities. Many families are desperately waiting for news of their loved ones with entire buildings and roadways collapsed.

The Venezuelan people are banding together to organize the rescue efforts. Right now the main ask is for monetary support to enable a constant supply of resources being donated from around the world.

I’m asking that you please donate if you are able to help support relief efforts. Every dollar counts and will go towards directly aiding rescue efforts and humanitarian relief.

If you asked me how this year went, I’d say it had its ups and downs.But if you really asked me, I’d tell you that this year absolutely kicked my ass.

I got married.
I traveled.
I went to concerts.
I ate delicious food.
I spent time with my favorite people in the world.
I was reminded how fragile things are.
I cried. A lot. Happy. Devastating. So much that it’s embarrassing. From laughter.
I learned to rekindle hope and find the will to move forward.
I tried to treat others kindly and accept the things I can’t control.
I sang my little heart out in the shower ( and on stage!)
I tried to be there for my friends and find the joy in little things.
I took 500 pictures of my dog.
I learned a lot about myself and the people around me.

Thank you thank you I love you all.
