This audience 💛 watch again and ignore the performance completely—the friends watching are so much fun to watch! Performing this piece at @lindybout this year was so special: it was a piece I made during covid and it had never been shared with an audience, originally choreographed as a sort of discombobulated memory of what dancing with others felt like in a moment when I was really feeling the loneliness of “solo” jazz. Sharing this with my friends and community, and getting to see their reactions (thank you to my dear friends who recorded the is from so that I can watch my friends’ wonderful reactions 🥰). I’ve written enough about how special Lindy Bout is, and more than enough about how important community is, but that weekend was such a good reminder of those important things. More videos to come. #lindybout #lindybout2023 #lindybutt #lindyhop #solojazz #vernacularjazz #jazz #vancouver #ohcanada #swingdance #dancecompetition #dancecelebration #ketchup #community #gratitude #dance #lindyhopper #swingdancing #choreography #dancepartners #dancepals #dancecommunity #rainbow #endofanera #grandfinale #dans #danse #dancetogether #snaileybailey #snailsofinstagram 🐌 by @snaileybailey

FOLLOWEEN 2026 🎃🕺🏼 Save the date for our annual Folloween weekend Oct. 23rd-25th, featuring guest instructor Bailey McCully @snaileybailey from Bellingham, WA! 🤩 Get your dancing shoes on for a weekend full of live music, workshops, our annual costume contest, and more! ✨ Stay tuned for more info coming very soon! 💃 About Bailey McCully: Bailey McCully has learned, taught, collaborated, and performed across North America and internationally. While traveling and dancing in new communities is a privilege Bailey is so grateful for, Bailey happily calls Bellingham, Washington home. Bailey works with dancers of all ages, from teens and tinies in Bellingham schools to adults. Her work in education has made pedagogical excellence both a passion and defining quality. Bailey aims to create classes in which students feel supported and uplifted as they learn. She focuses on using technique as support for play and expression, encouraging students to discover how they can move rather than how they should move. Just as jazz music lets you hear the personality of the musician, Bailey loves to see students bring their whole self to the dance. Dancing with a partner or dancing solo, Bailey endeavors to share her joy with everyone she gets to dance with. P.S. Peep our brand new Folloween logo created by one of our very own dancers @love.lorriemay! #swingdancevegas #folloween #baileymccully by @snaileybailey

3 vs 3 Quarter Finals at @parisjazzroots with @snaileybailey and @slops__ 🔥🔥🔥 This was the most unexpected and fun part of this festival. In this competition you don't get to choose the trio, it gets chosen by chance. And it was actually wonderful getting space to connect and create with new people! 🫶 And more than the result, I really enjoyed the process of putting our ideas together and finding our common vibe 🕺🏽🙌 #jazz #jazzroots #JazzDance by @snaileybailey
