graduated :P
never had a plan for myself until i was playing the sims 4 in 2023 and was grinding to get my sim a degree and good job and realized how pathetic it was that i was putting effort into a SIM and not my OWN life and so i applied to college right then and there. i’m so glad i did. i’ve met the most amazing people who have changed my life for the better, i couldn’t be more grateful for meeting them. i’m so proud i’ve made it to the point in life where i can say i have a degree and have a plan for my future. i love everyone so much 🫶🏻 taken in Giant Center by @snailrepose

“tv glow” 📺
my final project for my studio photography class (aka my final photo project ever😢)
this project was all about self image, nostalgia, and trans identity. i took a lot of inspiration from the movie “i saw the tv glow” which is a movie all about trans identity and how important it is to live as your true, authentic self. in the movie, the “tv glow” is where you see what you want to be/want your life to be, and you choose to turn the tv off (suppress it) or keep it on (live as who you want to be). i chose to keep it on :)
there’s so much more that i want to say about the meaning behind these pieces that i can’t fit in a caption, but on a more personal note, living as my true self has been the best thing i decided to do 8 years ago. i love myself, i love who i am, and im so happy with my identity and so grateful to everyone in my life who supports and loves me, regardless of my identity. so eternally grateful for you all 🥹
i had a lot of fun with this assignment, as we were allowed complete freedom with it. this was my first time doing “non-traditional” self portraits where you can’t see my face as well as working with lighting from a TV
overall super happy with how this project turned out and i had so much fun doing it :)
