Snapcase aka @snapcaseband collection. I’m pretty sure I’m missing one or two shirts (maybe they’re in some of the other boxes), but this should be pretty close to my complete collection.

Snapcase was a really important band for me throughout the ’90s. They had some seriously great designs, including some of the coolest rip-off shirts of that era.

A few of these pieces came directly from Anthony Brooder, who was a roadie for Snapcase back in the day. That makes those shirts especially meaningful to me. He was a great guy and someone I’ll always remember. May he rest easy. by @snapcaseband

I was thinking of posting other albums today, but this Snapcase album was released yesterday in 2002, and Snapcase is still a very important band to me.

Looking at the album cover, it immediately reminds me how vector design was the rage back then. Working as a graphic and web designer at the time, I remember seeing this style everywhere — abstract shapes, sharp lines and that early-2000s digital aesthetic. I even took inspiration from this cover when designing my old band Lurks’ Extended Play release.

Musically, Snapcase were always great at pushing hardcore into something more technical, experimental and rhythmically interesting. The riffs are heavy without being straightforward, while the drums and tempo changes give the songs a different kind of energy.

Also added to the playlist is the Coagulate CD single, along with one of my favourite hardcore albums of all time, Progression Through Unlearning. 💿🖤

Formed in 1989, Buffalo, NY’s Solid State released two demos (“Quest for Reality” and “Accept Your Fate”) before some lineup changes and a name change, forming @snapcaseband and eventually leading to bassist @daryl_tab taking over vocals. Here was one of many NE regional shows which they supported @zero_tolerancehc who frequently supported some of the biggest #NYHC bands, here opening for @civ_gb in Syracuse. by @snapcaseband

Andy was as huge in the wrestling world and hardcore scene as he was in stature. A great friend and talent and one of the kindest people we’ve known.

Buffalo and the world has suffered a terrible loss. Our love to anyone lucky enough to have known him. taken in Buffalo, New York by @snapcaseband
