And we probably didn't know the depth of this sentence until it was time for us to leave
That institute shaped me in ways i couldn't imagine
It turned me into the person i am today, it's a thing that i carry with pride and honor.
I miss the old days of hostel and new block
And the old classrooms with high ceilings.
The societies and the friend circles, the sunsets and rains. The jamming sessions and iqbal hostel ki chai, the boy hassan who worked there was so jolly, probably one of the most famous personals after mirza saheb ofc. The hostel ka mess, i can't believe but i miss that as well, the conversations and criticism on food that me and my friends did there, that room mai beth kr cards khelna and laughing on the lamest jokes.

He was definitely right.

a place to which I return every single time.

after every single win,
after every single tragedy.

I wonder if it misses me and gets excited when I head back,
or if it grows disgusted by my presence and cheers when I leave.

I wonder if its walls lean down to hold me upon my arrival,
or if they slowly grow apart when they sense me coming.

I wonder if it has grown to care for me, for all the falls I've experienced within it,
or if it has learned to loathe me for what I become sometimes.

I wonder if it considers me a friend, as I consider it,
or if my presence makes it uncomfortable.

I wonder if it notices me falling, breaking down,
or if it sees me like everyone else, someone who just keeps failing.

I wonder if it notices the silence in me,
when, after all that I give, I am still the one being questioned.

Or maybe it sees me like everybody else does,
someone who simply never learns.
I wonder if it knows about the thoughts that keep growing inside my mind,
or if, like everybody else, I am just someone passing through, using it for what it can give me.

I wonder if it remembers the nights I came back carrying more than I could hold,
the nights when I said nothing, but somehow hoped the walls would understand.

I wonder if it remembers how many times I've walked through its doors pretending to be alright,
only to fall apart somewhere no one could see.

Maybe it doesn't.
Maybe walls don't remember.
Maybe they don't listen.
Maybe they don't care.

Maybe home has never been a friend,
and I've only called it one because I needed something to stay.

Maybe it doesn't notice when I come back quieter.
Maybe it doesn't notice when I leave carrying something new.

Maybe it doesn't know the difference
between the person who walks through its doors and the person who walks out.
And yet,
every time the world becomes too loud,
every time I become too tired of explaining myself.

Dear tree of the park, You have seen many faces, Many have used your shade for protection, Others have carved their names into your skin.
Some have cut your arms, And others have nourished your roots.
And of all the people you have seen over your long life, Where do I stand on your list.
