The day had a bit of a paranormal theme given our book of the month was @anneka.rose.burrell_author’s “Meet Me After Life” and what a day it was! 👻
I say it everytime, but these is such a special group of women and I’m so grateful to have met them all! 💞

Next month’s book pick was @amgold.author’s new book: “Moonveil and Magic”! I’m so excited for everyone to read it! 🪄

It’s flower FriYAY, because, why not?! 🌻

I hope you’ve all had a great week. It’s school holidays here and life has been life’ing so I’ve not done as much reading as I would’ve hoped…. I’m excited for this week to be done so the weekend can begin: three big footy games, @gcbaddiesbookclub bookclub and F1 in Baku! Bring it on!! 🐬 🐎 🇦🇿

Thankful Thursday 🫶🏼😘

My heart is SO full. I’m so grateful for each and every thoughtful gift from you all… Special shoutouts are required needed for the emergency reading kit, the jar of FUCK’s, personalized cross-stitching, a squishy crochet, a bedazzled bookmark just to name a few! 🤩

Us: fuck yes.

Also us: books? Melbourne? Book retreat? No adult supervision? Sounds perfect.

So naturally, we packed our bags and fucked off to Melbourne for a weekend of books, chaos, questionable financial decisions and making memories we’ll absolutely be talking about for the next 10 years.

Would recommend.
Would absolutely do again.

Day 3 of our 2026 Book Retreat ☀️

Our final day did *NOT* disappoint! It was so bittersweet knowing by the end of the day we would all be back at our homes around the country, but we made the most of it!

We celebrated @thatquietreader’s birthday, @court.between.the.covers and I both fought for our lives on the inground trampoline at the house and as a group we discovered we really are not able to take a single “normal” photo 🤣

Then along the way back to the airport, @mandajane1985 @paigey_reads_ @whats_tyrareading @in.one.sitting and I discovered more bookstores & visited an Aussie version of Jurassic Park (that just happened to also double as a Christmas Tree Farm, because why not…..)

Each and every one of these beautiful women are incredible. I say bring on our 2027 Book Retreat where we’re aiming to extend it, because time flies when you have fun so why wouldn’t we want to make it longer??! 🫶🏼💞

Day 2 of our 2026 Book Retreat ☀️

What a fantastic day this was! After the girls enjoyed a delicious breakfast, we had a blind date with a book, an unhinged item swap, tote & coaster decorating, a visit to the Mornington Peninsula Hot Springs followed by dinner and then conspiracy theories each prepared by @thatquietreader @bogies.bookshelf and @pagingkata 💞

Day 1 of our 2026 Book Retreat ☀️

What an incredible first day with these beauties! Having @paigey_reads_ as my travel buddy this year was so special and made for some VERY entertaining moments along the way 🤣

Finally meeting these girls in person was AMAZING and it was well worth the wait!! 🩷

We hosted @j.s.harman.author & @skstapar.author for dinner & it was such fun getting to know these local authors! Also I feel it requires a special mention: it woulda required some real inner bravery to come to a random house on the Mornington Peninsula on a Friday night and sit in front of us 14 crazy women, so we really appreciate you for this! 😅🫶🏼
