If you’re new here…let us introduce ourselves! We’re SNAP!

We’re your Wedgewood-Houston neighborhood association- and so much more!

South Nashville Action People is a community alliance based in Wedgewood-Houston that empowers residents, enhances quality of life, and promotes the integrity of the neighborhood.

In 1979, this neighborhood was slated for rezoning as an industrial area. Our four founders saw a need to save the neighborhood, organized their fellow neighbors, and got to work preserving Wedgewood-Houston as a predominantly residential community. Their work was the foundation of our neighborhood organization - SNAP. We have so many ways that you can get involved and we’d love for you to join us in our continuing service! by @snapweho

Earlier this week, we celebrated the groundbreaking of the Chestnut Bike Lane, a major step toward a more connected Nashville!

Thank you to NDOT, the Mayor’s Office, our District 17 Councilmembers, Choose How You Move, AJ Capitol, HCD and everyone whose partnership made this possible.

“Today isn’t simply about a bike lane.
It’s about giving people more choices for how they travel safely. It’s about strengthening connections between Wedgewood-Houston, Downtown, Midtown, and the neighborhoods
beyond. And it’s about creating streets that work better for everyone—whether you walk, bike,ride transit, or drive,” SNAP Board Chair Caroleen Wilkes

Excited to see this vision become reality🚲 by @snapweho

💛 Thank you to the neighborhood businesses who made this year’s Annual Neighbor Day possible! 💛
@thetruthnashville, @raymondbarbershop615, @wehoprovisionsco, @juliamartingallery, @nashvillesc, @motomodashop , @nvr__nvr , @strategichospitality , @gordos_nashville and @iggys_nashville : your support brought neighbors together for an afternoon of food, music, and community, and we’re grateful. 🙌
Your contributions, along with the generosity of our silent auction winners, go further than one afternoon. They support SNAP’s nearly 50-year mission to empower residents, enhance quality of life, and promote the integrity of Wedgewood-Houston. That includes owning and advocating for affordable housing, pushing for safer and cleaner streets, maintaining playgrounds and community gardens, and sharing our space with local artists and nonprofits.
We’re proud to call you neighbors. Thank you, Wedgewood-Houston! 💛

The vibes are immaculate. Fresh off a 4-1 win over Miami, five points clear at the top of the East, and another chance to keep the momentum rolling tonight. 😤

Whether you've been to every watch party or you've been saying, "I need to come check one out," consider this your sign.

We'll be at New Heights tonight at 6:30 PM cheering on the Boys in Gold. All ages are welcome, dogs are welcome, and we'd love to meet you. Bring a friend, grab a beer, and come see what the Roadies are all about. See y'all tonight. 💛 by @snapweho
