1 year anniversary show dump!! 🥳🪩 @thehouseofdreams313

We’re forever grateful to @thehouseofdreams313 for doing what they do best and helping us bring our dream to life with their beautiful space ❤️

Last night we celebrated 1 year of building community through healing & creativity with our biggest turnout yet!

The topic of the night was “obsession” and as a group we discussed the benefits and downfalls to being obsessed and obviously we dissected the popular movie @obsessionthemovie and lots of different perspectives were shared and validated 🙂‍↕️

After our open discussion we had @hb3.geminichild @biigjuan @kouyatta @deerunninupbandz @shaunboy @kiddprodigee @dr_stickbug and @jacepreme take the stage and get vulnerable with our crowd accompanied by @nikobak12 and EVERYBODY was fire 🔥🔥

And always Nita from @theartloungebynita painted a beautiful piece that fit our theme 🩷🩷🩷

She literally almost brought me to tears man… @snclive

To hear someone speak like this about something that used to live exclusively inside my mind validated my vision in ways I didn’t know was possible

I started @snclive because Detroit needed more creative outlets for artists like myself who pour their hearts out in the studio

But also because there’s a mental health crisis in my city that needs to be addressed. People are hurting, grieving, and suffering in silence because mental health isn’t taken as seriously as it should be in Detroit.

Obviously metrodetroitnews doesn’t define our city but some of the headlines lately show me that people are really hurting and when that hurt goes unchecked, they hurt other people…

After being admitted to 3 different psyche wards in 2024 during my own battles with depression I found the biggest help for me was the group therapy they offered and hearing others talk about fighting similar battles I was…

So this was my way of finding purpose in my pain and I’m forever grateful for @detroitmodel.dreamy & @mz_euphemia at @thehouseofdreams313 for giving this Dream a home ⭐️

Trauma bonding is definitely one of my fave experiences I’ve done as a live painter! 🎨

It’s an intimate setting which is a plus, and a live podcast where the audience actually gets to add to the conversation! And then as a cherry on top you get live performances from artists sharing some of their most vulnerable music! 🪩🕺

I actually shed a few tears on the mic because that’s just how comfortable I felt being there!🥹

TRAUMA BONDING 1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY SHOW🏅🏆

I can’t believe there was really a time where I couldn’t possibly fathom I would be doing anything serious with my art. I was “obsessed” with the idea that no one would give anything I created a second glance…..

Well thankyou @snclive @survivingnocontact for helping to ease that obsession. For believing in @theartloungebynita and bringing me back again and again!

Themed after last nights talk, this piece is titled “obsessive”.🎨💖What happens when you can get so wrapped up in an obsession it creates chaos within you and distracts from the beautiful chaos around you - the world.
