Meet Moe, CEO of Sneaker Impact. 👟

He saw a gap in how sneakers were handled at end-of-life and built the infrastructure to close it, partnering with universities, researchers, and advocates along the way.

That work became a two-arm system. Every sneaker that comes through our Miami facility gets hand-graded and routed one of two ways:

🔙 Reuse: Wearable sneakers get a second life through our resale and reuse partners. Always the first move.

♻️ Recycling: End-of-life sneakers break down into raw materials like rubber, foam, and textiles, headed back into manufacturing instead of a landfill.

Two pathways, one goal: keep sneakers circulating.

If you need us, we'll be sorting through your retired sneakers. Every pair that comes through gets a closer look before we decide its next step. 👟

If it's still in good shape, it's sorted for reuse, ready to be worn again by someone else.

If it's past that point, it goes into recycling, where it's broken down so the materials can be recovered and used again.

All with one goal in mind: keeping sneakers out of landfills and back in circulation.

Plot twist: this yoga mat used to be Crocs. 🧘‍♀️

We took end-of-life Crocs, shredded them into tiny granules, and processed the foam into clean, high-purity material that got a second life as a yoga mat. ♻️

Not your typical warm-up, but we think it stretches the imagination.

🏃‍♂️ 1,000+ pairs collected in Philadelphia! 👟♻️

Sneaker Impact is proud to partner with Students Run Philly Style and Philadelphia Runner, organizers of the 48th annual Philadelphia Distance Run.

Over two days at the Race Expo, the community has already recycled 1,000+ pairs of running shoes with Sneaker Impact, giving those shoes a second life and keeping them out of landfills.

Even better: for every pair collected, Sneaker Impact is making a donation to Students Run Philly Style, helping support their work empowering young people through running and mentorship.
