@clarksoriginals moc boots were wearing thin on the crepe sole. We removed the crepe, converted them to take different soles by hand stitching a leather welt and topped with hand dyed thread and a @vibram morflex Christy sole unit.

Saw the visual similarities to the famous Yuketen boots so we ran with it. From the back of the wardrobe to a future of wear and the sole can be replaced moving forward. by @sneakerpharm

Sneaker pharm is in @gq magazine today and it’s a beautiful feeling. It’s a surreal feeling to have GQ visit and talk to me about sustainability in the space I worked so hard to build. Before starting sneaker pharm I got a lot of inspiration from the publication and to now be in it and hopefully inspiring others is a massive full circle moment.

Another milestone moment and one that will be framed in store that’s for sure 😮‍💨

Shout out to @jacobnegushill for the amazing write up and @jackorton__ and @bellagallianohale for putting up with my Willem Dafoe poses and getting some awesome shots. by @sneakerpharm

Birkenstock leather Bostons resole on to Vibram Woodstock. From worn out thin to THICCCC. Many more years of wear for @lenny343 by @sneakerpharm

@adidasoriginals Munchen made in Germany reworked in Manchester

The old trimm trab sole had started breaking down from hydrolysis and crumbling. We recommend sourcing another pair of trimm trabs to act as donors but the customer liked the idea of a welt and vibram sole for future resoleing.

Let me know what you think. It’s a rework not affiliated with any brands pictured. by @sneakerpharm

Nike Air max 95 triple black resole onto Vibram lite run unit.

Hybrid restorations and aftermarket sole swaps have always divided opinion. I get a lot of hate in messages for doing them and the the usual negging comments but the alternative option of “deadstock proper restoration” would mean:

Sourcing and buying another shoe to act as a donor, which usually means deconstructing one to save the other. (Wasted shoe and RRP of the shoe)
Theres the cost of my labour to do double the amount of work, cleanly removing both soles and carefully reassembling.

Yes it’s doable but does it make economic or commercial sense for the end customer? Probably not

Yes you could argue if it’s a rare pair then it might be worth it but that’s determined by the customer. Notwithstanding all the risks that come with the process.

Vibram resoles offer a way to save the original upper and edit the silhouette to give shoes more life and reduce landfill waste.

It’s easy to have a narrow minded view when you’re led by consumerism. Break out of the shell. Challenge what’s given to you. by @sneakerpharm

@nike air max 97 rework at sneaker pharm

Swapped the sole on this beautiful triple black 97 for the vibram lite run unit.

The smooth lines just work so well. Lmk what you think.

A restoration commission not affiliated with Nike. by @sneakerpharm

Grazie di cuore @mlouderr a beautiful gift for a rainy Manchester afternoon. Marco is a collector, archivist and writer that I had the pleasure of meeting a few years ago. I’ve been following his thoughts ever since and came full circle when we met again after the @vibram connection lab event.

This zine is so cool I had to share it, if you’re not familiar with his work and you consider yourself a collector, get to following @mlouderr

Can’t wait to dive in and see your point of view. Heading to buy a frame for the envelope as I type this out.

Speak soon! We’ll plan a trip to the Lakes when you’re here ⛵️ by @sneakerpharm

Repairing @ferragamo ballet flats but nobody makes leather soles anymore, so you have to make them yourself.

Really happy with how these have turned out. Super excited of the possibilities. My minds already thinking about Blake stitching and all the fun that comes with that construction method.

Still to add a heel stack on here before they’re truly finished but a great new achievement. by @sneakerpharm

@nike x @acoldwall tns been through it at whitehotel. We replaced the sole onto some @vibram Bristol sole units for added comfort and stability.

Not affiliated with any brands. This is a custom upcycling of a product destined for landfill. by @sneakerpharm
