Happy 41st to me. 🎉❤️

Birthdays are supposed to be filled with happiness, but this one carries a little extra weight. I can’t celebrate today without thinking about my best friend, Shanka. 💔

This is the first birthday I won’t get that “Happy Birthday” text, those random funny videos, or hear your laugh. Those little moments meant everything, and I miss them more than words can explain.

So I’m starting my birthday post with you right here beside me, just like it should be.

RIP Shanka. 🕊️

I got your son today, and that’s the closest I can get to having you here with us. We’re gonna celebrate a little for you too, just like you never left. I know you’d be cutting up, laughing, and making sure everybody had a good time.

Started 2026 as a JUNIOR MOM and ending it as a SENIOR MOM!! And not just any Senior Mom… MY BABY IS GRADUATING EARLY!!

Now let me brag for a minute because THIS is my WHY!

Single mama. 3 kids. 2 graduates. 2 DOWN, 1 TO GO!!

And I need y’all to hear me when I say this: DON’T EVER UNDERESTIMATE A SINGLE MOM!! Because baby, WE DO THIS!!

We make it happen when nobody knows HOW we made it happen. We sacrifice, stretch the last dollar, lose sleep, show up tired, and STILL make sure our babies don’t miss a beat! And YESSSS, I literally go BROKE for this child 😂😂 but I’d do it all over again because LOOK AT HER!!

Vaeh, I AM SO PROUD OF YOU! I’ve told you your whole life that you can do WHATEVER you decide you want to do, and once again, you showed me you heard your mama! 👏🏾

Graduating EARLY?! YOU DID THAT!

I thank God for blessing me with my children because THEY are the reason I keep going, keep pushing and keep figuring it out. Everything I do, I DO IT FOR MINE!

So yeah, I’m gonna brag! I’m gonna post! I’m gonna celebrate! And I’m probably gonna cry too! 😂😭 Because as a SINGLE MOM, seeing my babies WIN hits different!

Watching one continue her elementary journey while the other gets closer to graduation is a blessing I’ll never take for granted. Time truly flies. 🥹❤️

Today my heart is shattered. 💔
I been trying to post this w/o breaking down all day!!

My friend is gone, and I’m still trying to process it and understand how this can be real. We went through life together. We lived everywhere together, faced some of the toughest times together, picked each other up when we were down, and wiped each other’s tears when nobody else understood. We went through hell and back together!!!!

No matter how long we went without talking, we always picked up right where we left off, laughing like no time had passed. One thing about us—we stayed cracking jokes. She was more than a best friend—she was family. She was my sons’ godmother, and if I ever needed anything or anywhere to go, I knew her doors would always be open.

Just recently, (May 30th) I stopped by, we were talking and she asked me, “You got ass shots?” I said, “No, Shanka, I’m just happy.” She looked at me and said, “Well, I love it on you, hunni, you thick!” I did a little 1-2, and she laughed and said, “Yo ass ain’t changed a bit.” That’s who she was—always making me laugh, always making me smile. This same day she told my baby to be careful on those steps, she’s scaring her and don’t want her to fall.. In so many ways, she was always looking out for the people she loved. She saved my baby😢

She always made sure I was good, even when she had her own battles to fight. That kind of love is rare, and I will cherish it forever. I will miss her more than words can express, but she will always be glued to my heart. Thank you for every laugh, every tear, every memory, and every moment of friendship. Until we meet again, my beautiful friend.. #Shewanda🕊️❤️

Her husband, son, Trina, Jackie, Val and all of her family members are in my prayers.. Whatever yall need I’m here!!! In any way I can be!! I’m so happy I got a chance to see you back to back and see that pretty smile!! My SHANKA!!!
