I stay in a lot of Airbnb’s. A few of them really get it right. Many of them don’t.

And when something is off, everything is off; the flow, the energy…

It can be subtle, like this corner but the irritation of it is felt almost at a subconscious level and you wonder why you feel like something is off; your flow, your energy…

At the same time, other things seem to be happening - you’re more tired than usual, you find yourself in arguments that you don’t usually have, perhaps money is going out more than it’s coming in. 😤

Don’t worry. You’re not going crazy.

Achieving a functional layout in your home while creating harmony and balance has a ripple effect. Again it can feel subtle, and now instead of irritation, you find yourself sitting peacefully in that corner you avoided, having a great conversation with someone you love while talking about the fun plans you have later. ❤️

For me, interior decorating is about creating peace and harmony within the space you have, so that you can feel at home, your home functions well and it supports you rather than drains you.

Your “home” might be a temporary Airbnb situation, or your home that you’re selling or a new home that you moved into months ago.

Does your home feel “off” somehow?

- Is it sitting on the market?
- Are you wondering why you bothered moving because this one doesn’t feel like home yet?

You’re not crazy. Your home’s interior decor, layout and flow are probably off.

What a fun weekend with our new friends here in Portugal! Saturday night they picked us up to go to see a musical playing in Lagoa. Dinner beforehand was delicious!

Sunday was a picture perfect warm, sunny day spent with another couple of friends in Armacao de Pera at a beach bar with a terrific live band! Afterwards, dinner at a traditional Portuguese restaurant before returning home to Portimao. 😋🎶🙏🏻☀️😎 taken in Pedro's Bar by @sneathkim
