Still trying to find the right words for this one.What an absolute honor it was to witness this love story unfold, and now to see it featured in @vogueweddings feels surreal. Huge congratulations to my incredible couple, you two deserve every bit of it.Watching Jenelle’s bespoke gown by @bobmackie come to life was something I’ll never forget. From the first sketches laid out on the table, to the delicate details at the initial fitting, to seeing her step into it on the wedding day, it felt like art in motion. There are dresses, and then there are moments that take your breath away. This was the latter.But beyond the fashion, beyond the feature, what stays with me most is who they are. Warm, joyful, wildly gregarious, and genuinely kind. The kind of couple that makes everyone in the room feel seen. The kind that reminds you why you fell in love with this job in the first place.Endlessly grateful to the entire team, and to @snevents for bringing all of us together to create something this meaningful. Honored to have Ian & Ashley’s wedding featured today on @brides! This wedding was particularly sentimental- the bride tragically lost her mom just a few months before the wedding, but not before her mom had the chance to be deeply involved in the planning. This spot is where they first met.Years later, Ashley walked back through these same doors — in the dress her mother chose for her before she passed.St. Philip’s Church wasn’t just their ceremony venue. It was the beginning of everything. And on her wedding day, it became the place where their beginning and their forever finally met.Her mother spent hours researching gowns while battling cancer. Some projects we shoot for clients, some for vendors, some for the wallet, and if we are intentional, sometimes we shoot to feed our creative souls. This was a shoot to feed the creative souls. I was honored to lead two talented photographers for this private workshop; we were free to create, collaborate, and really hone in on the story telling aspect of each shot. Candlelight flickering against layered textures, music slowly filling the room, conversations getting softer as everyone takes it in for the first time.
