POSTS STORIES REELS

Actions across the country on #NoKingsDay were overwhelmingly full of solidarity, love, fun, witty humor, togetherness, and determination.

If you saw any news referring to people at protests as un-American, algorithms have put voices in front of you that don't actually reflect the truth of what's going on in this country.

This is about defending the protections of the law and the safety of the people and the planet. Freedom under authoritarianism is a lie. It's time to re-evaluate our media sources and engage our critical thinking!

This #SunDayOfAction, solar eclipse, and last day of summer, I join hundreds of actions and millions of others accross the planet calling our attention to the power of solar energy, renewable energy, and climate action. 🌤🌎

There's a reason why we rely the sun for energy and not from extractive sources. It's power already fuels our entire planet. Plants developed the ability to survive from the sun millions of years ago. Extractive industries disrupt the Earth's climate. With the balance of all life on Earth dependent on the balance and stability of the climate, we have to make the choice to invest in what makes sense.

If you have questions about climate action or renewable energy, just ask. Be curious. So much science, innovation, and brainpower has already been creatively designed.

Happy Earth Day 💙🌏💚

Growing up, every chance I got to do art was centered around nature and the awe I felt for this planet. It will always continue to inspire me and my creative expression.

Please consider following and supporting the work of some organizations doing incredible work for people and the planet.

This Friday, join me and the Kelsey Hill campaign team for a spooky digital #PaintAndSip. 🎃 Pour yourself a glass of your favorite festive beverage, and enjoy a free night of paintin’ and politicin’ with Kelsey.

I will lead us through painting a spooky image of a Haunted House on a *Hill* (pun-intended).
🕸🦇🏚🌕
We’re in the final leg of this race, so this is one of the last chances to ask Kelsey about her platform or any questions you may have during a live digital event!

You only need four colors of paint to participate (but feel free to use other mediums). It’s intended to be inclusive of all ages/experience-levels. RSVP at the link in my bio and forward to your friends! COSTUMES ENCOURAGED 🧛‍♀️

The first Paint and Sip with @KelseyHill4Council was such fun. It was relaxing to do a whole painting together in just a short time. Especially a bright nature scene after many nearby fires clouded the skies.

It was a great opportunity to touch upon topics like actually affordable housing, a just covid19 response, and climate action centering those most impacted by climate change.

Catch your next opportunity to paint with us this Friday October 23nd from 6 to 730pm. This time, we'll be painting a spooky October scene. 🦇 More info to come, and available at the link in my bio. 💙

Pour yourself a glass of wine (or nonalcoholic beverage of your choosing!), kick back for a free art class, and get to know Kelsey Hill in a discussion of her platform this Friday evening from 6-8pm! RSVP in the link in our bio.
.
Our wonderful art instructor Simone Cardona (@snflwr.src) will walk us through how to paint and draw the local beauty of Santa Cruz: Natural Bridges!
.
All painters need are: four colors (white, blue, red, yellow) a brush, paper towel, and cup of water. Folks using markers only need four marker colors: two shades of blue, two shades of brown (if you wish to take a creative twist, use as many funky colors as you want!)
.
This event is intended for all community members and artists at different levels. It's going to be great, make sure to sign up and invite friends.

Taking it one step at a time. 👣
I'm excited to share more with you all about what I've been up to, new projects, and my hopes for the new year. by @snflwr.sc

Growth 🌒
.
My birthday came right on the heels of a New Moon in Leo. 26 year old me did a lot of great things, and connected to more dimensions of myself. I was also in a lot of pain. Resilient, and tired.
.
27 years present me is still complicated, always learning, growing, and making myself proud.

Last Sunday I danced in a sensual dance showcase hosted by @venus_delmar, and I'm so grateful for the experience. 💫
.
The process was an opportunity for mental, physical, and emotional growth, moving through the self-doubt and nervousness that came up along the way.
.
I connected to the young adolescent in me who dances in the living room, and is always a bit quiet and timid, and the fierce leo that is imaginative and courageous. 🦁
