Yellow-Green Lanterns

I'd like to give credit first to @legolukeross for using the Electro head for John - that kickstarted all of these. Absolutely a brilliant usage. But jeez I did not expect how well all the rest of the heads would come together! Everything really fell into place very nicely, even Alan on the second slide. I wasn't sure how I could make his color scheme work in yellow, so I shifted the green pants to yellow and similarly color-shifted the rest - again, everything fell into place pretty well. I booted him to his own slide though because I didn't want the purple ruining my pretty black and yellow.

Hadestown

Saw this show for the first time with the filmed version in theaters and it was great - very good performances from this cast! As usual I thought the parts I might use to make these while watching but I didn't actually make any until @kaiju_dan and @_standaartwoudt_ decided they were also going to make some figures for the show/movie. Hope you enjoy. :)

Stinger & the Columbus Blue Jackets

LEGO Stinger is ready for the season opener of the @bluejacketsnhl tonight!

@psycho.figs recently made a quick minifig idea for the Cancucks mascot, Fin, and I had the idea to use this head for Stinger and built from there! @jonaktoys custom plumes came in handy here since the real black ones are expensive.

Miscellaneous Troopers

My first entry to the #ImperialDesignBureau contest!

From left to right:
Ghost Trooper - just because you die, doesn't mean you leave the service of the Empire!
Glass Cleaner Trooper - you could spend all day cleaning windows on the Death Star, and this guy does.
Glow-in-the-dark Trooper - no more getting lost in the dark without power!
Mad Scientist Trooper - gotta have someone to develop and test chemical weapons, right?
Disco Trooper - tore up her picture? He's gonna tear up the fucking dance floor dude, check it out.
Snow(man) Trooper - for when you need to blend in even more than those other guys
Hockey Trooper - they always dreamed of winning the Hoth Olympics.

Entangled

With a few key new parts, I made three pairs in the DC universe who are intrinsically linked - can't have one without the other.

Left to right:
Thunderbolt - Jakeem Thunder and Yz (shout-out to @doubleolego.minifigs for using the hat for Jakeem already)
Shazam - Billy Batson and Captain Marvel (newly acquired BAM-exclusive torso which I had my sights on using for Billy since I found it on Bricklink)
Firestorm - Martin Stein and Ronnie Raymond (IDK why this didn't get done sooner - I think we've all been dreaming of a detachable flame piece to make this since the original Firestorm fig came out)

16 Years!

Guess what? I forgot about doing an anniversary post for my LEGO account. I guess that happens when you get old and you've been posting your LEGO content long enough that it could have a driver's license. It doesn't help too that my life continues to change and develop - since last year, I started a new job and my wife and I have a new home, as pictured! I'm also starting a new LEGO-related thing that I'm pretty excited about, but I'll share more as I settle in. Excited to be able to do more LEGO things in general as we work on setting up our home, and you'll see that in the likely many more years to come!

Also we're dressed as Mulder and Scully because the set just came out and honestly it's a perfect pairing for us. Athena the cat also included.

Little League

I've been wanting to use the Dreamlings bodies for this for a minute, so when #littleguyjuly rolled around I was excited to take the opportunity! Then my BL order for the blue cape didn't show up in time and I kinda slacked off on photographing lol. So here we are near the end of August. Anyway, still fun, still cute-ish, semi-terrifying.

Anti-Venomites

I've been wanting to use the parts from Anti-Venom to make some new characters - may be a stretch for the middle but I like how it turned out.

Left to right: Spirit Spider, Goblin King, and Anti-Pork Grind?

Hooded Marvels

I used some new hoods/other parts to put together some Marvel characters:

Left to right:
Husk (suggested by @krakoa_customs , not really new)
Sleepwalker (new head from the Force Burner set)
Ultimate Doom (new blue hood!)
Swarm (new head, part idea stolen from @matias_legofan )
Hallow's Eve (new hood from Hobgoblin)
