Snow Glow(b)
Helping women remember who they are after life’s unexpected plot twists.
When life gets shaken, the core remains.

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
I’m Snow and this space was created for the woman I used to be… and the woman I’m still becoming.

Snow Glow(b) is a space for women in identity transition… when life no longer fits the version of you you were before.

That in-between place can feel disorienting. Like you’ve outgrown old parts of yourself, but haven’t fully met what’s next yet.

Here, we don’t rush that process. We don’t fix or force it. We hold space. We remember.

If you’re new here, start with my pinned posts 🌸

Have you ever looked in the mirror and wondered… “Who am I now?”

Maybe you’ve spent so much time caring for everyone else that you forgot how to care for yourself. Maybe life changed you through motherhood, loss, trauma, ADHD, infertility, a career change or simply the passing of time.

If that’s where you are, I want you to know something: You’re not broken. You’re not behind. And you’re definitely not alone.

This little corner of the internet is for women learning to reconnect with themselves… one honest step at a time.

We’ll talk about identity, confidence, healing, beauty and all the messy, beautiful in-between moments that shape who we become. You don’t have to have it all figured out to belong here.

I’m so glad you found your way to Snow Glow(b). 🤍

I’d love to know… What part of yourself are you rediscovering in this season?

⬇️ Tell me in the comments. I’d love to hear your story.

For so long, I thought confidence came from what I could do, how I looked, and how well I performed. I chased it in my career, my achievements, my dreams and even in my faith. But confidence without worthiness is just striving in disguise. When I finally asked God to show me my value—the way He sees me—everything changed. If you’ve ever felt like you had to earn your worth, this is for you.

What if your life didn’t happen in the order you thought it would? Maybe you chose to wait… or had other things you wanted to experience first.

Or… maybe you would have given ANYTHING for your timeline to look different… and it didn’t or couldn’t.

If you’re a woman who feels like a late bloomer, I want you to know something: you are not behind… and if you’re desperately hoping for a baby (I call it the hope & desperation rollercoaster) and month after month your life isn’t unfolding the way you prayed it would…

I don’t know what your story will be… and can’t promise you the ending you’re hoping for. But I can remind you that your current chapter is not the whole story. 📖

We can spend so much energy grieving the timeline we thought we’d have… 💯 get that… that we miss the possibility that there can still be something beautiful ahead.

So wherever you are in your waiting, I hope you give yourself permission to stop measuring your life against your (or someone else’s) clock. ⏰ your story gets to be yours.

For the late bloomers. 🌺 unexpected timelines. 📏 women still waiting 🤷… and women beginning again. You belong here. 🥰🥰✨✨

Did you find a word for yourself that finally made things make sense? Like it helped you understand why you do what you do… and helped you feel seen?

I’ve lived and “been” so many like baby sister, volleyball player, scholar, party girl, speech pathologist, wife, unexplained infertility, pregnancy loss, late blooming mom, damaged goods, homeschool mom, preemie mom, spiritually waking, friend, makeup artist, new garden mama. Aquarius, enneagram 2 & 7, ESFP…

and those traits, passions, types, titles, parts and roles are great descriptions of my story…

…but we don’t have to spend the rest of our lives trying to prove we know who we are… especially if you feel stuck.

You get to surprise yourself and discover that you’re capable of things you once thought weren’t “you.”

You get to change your mind & direction.

You get to become someone your younger self couldn’t have imagined.

No dramatic reason required. It’s simply:

“This doesn’t fit me anymore.”

What’s a label you’ve carried that you’re curious about outgrowing?

If you’re new here, let me introduce myself a little.

I’ve spent a lot of my life being the observer… the youngest of 3 girls… unsure and insecure coming out of my shell…then finding myself still holding back parts of who I am.

And at 51… I’m realizing I don’t think we ever really “arrive.” But we don’t have to settle, either. We can keep discovering ourselves. 🔎

We try new things—> we get a little braver.
We let the fun parts out—> and realize… it’s not too late. I have places in me that have been waiting patiently for her turn to shine. ✨

So, if you’re a woman who is somewhere in the middle of figuring out who you are now, after all the unexpected plot twists life has handed you…

welcome. I think you’re in the right place. 🩷

And tell me…were you the kid who was in the middle of everything or the one watching from the sidelines?

I used to think the answer was to stop helping.

…but the more I’ve learned about my fixer side, the more I realize there’s a difference between helping from a healthy place and helping because I need to feel needed.

And honestly? That distinction requires me to slow down.

Before I say yes, I’m learning to ask myself:

✨ Do I actually have the capacity for this?

✨ What resources… time, energy, emotional space… do I have available right now?

✨ Am I helping because I genuinely want to or because I’m uncomfortable letting someone struggle?

✨ Am I giving from an overflow… or am I giving away something I actually need?

✨ If I say yes, will I still feel like myself afterward?

Because sometimes… helping is beautiful.

Sometimes… showing up for someone is exactly what we’re meant to do.

The goal isn’t to become less caring.

It’s to stop using our own exhaustion as proof that we’re valuable. We can care deeply without making ourselves the cost of caring.

And THAT is something I want to keep. ❤️

You can stop yourself from jumping in… and still spend hours in your head trying to solve someone else’s problem.

That was one of the hardest parts for me to recognize… because fixing wasn’t just something I did… it was something I actively thought about.

And if you’re a fixer, you might know the mental gymnastics: What should I say? What could I do?
What if they make the wrong choice? Should I check on them? Maybe I could find a solution. Maybe I could help them see it differently.

Meanwhile, you’re washing the dishes, driving the car, trying to take care of your kids, create a grocery list or fall asleep… and your brain is somewhere else entirely.

So here’s the question I’m sitting with:

How much of your energy is being spent on things you care about… but aren’t actually yours to carry?

Maybe caring doesn’t require carrying… maybe that’s where some of our energy starts coming back to us… ✨

I used to think helping meant getting involved: Seeing the problem —> figuring out the solution. Then, offering the advice = trying to make things better.

But, I’m learning that, sometimes, the most loving thing I can do is… not take the controls. 🚜💨

I can hold space without taking over. I can respect someone else’s capabilities without assuming they need me to step in.

I can trust people to make choices about their own lives… even when I would choose differently.

And I’m realizing that this is a skill.

You don’t spend your whole life being the fixer and then suddenly know how to sit still, hold space (and hold your tongue) while someone else figures things out.

It’s awkward… and MEGA uncomfortable. Sometimes, it feels almost impossible… so, I’m practicing.

Going slower. Being gentler. Scratching the surface instead of digging all the way in. 🪏

maybe that’s what this next version of me looks like: Less controlling the outcome… more trusting the process.

Less fixing —> More holding space.

And, apparently… a little more finesse. 😬

For a long time, I thought I was just a person who liked to help… but l, somewhere along the way, helping became fixing… and fixing became identity.

I knew who I was when someone needed me. i knew what to do when there was a problem. I felt valuable when I could make something better.

So when I started letting go of that… I expected freedom and loads of “healthy relationships.”

Instead, there was a whole lot of space…. and I didn’t know how to BE in it. 🌀

I felt uncomfortable. Powerless. Lonely. Lost. Sometimes even worthless.

There were fewer phone texts and calls. Fewer problems to solve. Fewer reasons to feel needed… and underneath all of that was a question I hadn’t really known how to ask:

Who am I if nobody needs me to fix anything? And I’m choosing not to fix in unhealthy ways?

It took me a while to realize that I wasn’t actually losing myself… I was meeting the parts of me that had been buried underneath being useful.

I had to learn how to sit still without feeling like I was failing… how to rest without earning it first…how to let other people have their own experiences without rushing in to change them.

And eventually… how to experience joy without needing a reason for it.

that’s what peace feels like for me now… not a life where nothing is wrong… but a life where I don’t have to make everything right in order to be okay.

And maybe the question isn’t: “What do I do when there’s nothing left to fix?”

Maybe it’s: “Who do I get to be?”

I don’t have this all figured out… but I’m starting to realize that maybe I don’t have to.

There’s something about this season of life that makes me crave less information and more lived experience… the kind that comes from sitting across from another woman and hearing, “Yep. I’ve been there (or am there right now) too.”

So, I’m going to keep showing up here… sharing what I’m learning, what I’m healing, what I’m building, the things growing in my garden, the projects happening on our little piece of magic land… and all the unexpected plot twists along the way. 🌀✨

Maybe something I share will help you feel seen…. maybe you’ll teach me something, too.

Either way, I have a feeling we can make this next part of the journey a little less lonely together. 💕💕

If that sounds like a place you’d like to be, I’d love to have you here.

Dolly Parton has been on a lot of our minds lately. 💕⭐️✨🎀

I was out here singing 9 to 5, harvesting my Big Beef tomatoes and carrying them around like they’re my babies when I had a thought…

…maybe I’m not supposed to stop working.

Maybe I’m just done working so hard to manage, rescue and carry everyone else’s life.

For a long time, I thought healing meant getting rid of the fixer in me… but, what if she doesn’t need to disappear?

What if all that energy I’ve spent taking care of everyone else can finally be redirected toward something that gives life back to me?

Maybe healing isn’t about caring less… maybe it’s about remembering that I deserve some of that care, too.

So yes… I’m still working 9 to 5. Just, apparently, for a bunch of tomatoes now. 🍅😂

And honestly? This feels like HUGE progress.
