How wonderful!! After years of searching, I finally found this rare 1986 Nidecker Liberty 🇨🇭 🇨🇭 🇨🇭 It had been hidden for 40 years in a basement in the Alagna Valsesia area. After a thorough cleaning, it was returned to its former glory. 1986 in Italy🇮🇹 The first association was founded in Bergamo, representing the first enthusiasts and practitioners of this sport. The name of the association is AISN (Italian Snow Surfing Association). #vintagesnowboard #vintagestyle #madeinswitzerland #snowboardstory #nidekersnowboards @nideckersnowboards by @snowboard_stories

What a beautiful copy 🩶🧡 Burton Cruzer 165 (86/87) Introduced to the public in the 1986 season, the Cruzer quickly became one of Burton’s hottest boards. Burton describes it as a board built for speed, but also for stability and precise carving. Its long running length, cracked edges, modified sidecut, and sintered base make it suitable for high-speed riding while still offering surprising maneuverability. Burton notes that riders chose it not only for racing, but also for free riding in a wide range of snow conditions from powder to hardpack #vintagesnowboard #vintageburton #burtoncruzer #burtonstyle #jakeburton @burtonsnowboardcollection @burtonsnowboards @burtoneurope by @snowboard_stories
Even if it is not a vintage snowboard for me it represents the essence of Jake Burton’s spirit and therefore I could not help but include it in my collection 💙 #snowboard #jakeburton #milanocortina2026 #vintagesnowboard @burton @burtonsnowboardcollection @burtonsnowboards @burtoneurope @rideonjake @bfactory_outdoor by @snowboard_stories
SIMS 1710 BLADE 1986/1987 ❤️ The best boards of ‘87/‘88 were absolute tanks. The Lamp-ply construction made them heavy. Of course, they had those bindings everyone loved, with their bail buckles and spoilers that broke at a glance. Nonetheless, Sims boards were the Ferrari of the sport 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 #snowbording #vintagesnowboard #snowboardvintage #snowboardstyle #snowboardstories @simssnowboardsitaly @vintage_sims_boards @sims.snowboards @the_sims_collector @sims_snowboards_jp by @snowboard_stories
FUNKY SPRAY 👊🏼 From that day on, Funky began a period of incessant technological development that managed to bring its boards to the podiums of world snowboarding. In a few years, the Italian brand became one of the main European snowboard brands, expanding its clientele even overseas. #snowboard #funkysnowboards #vintagesnowboardtrader #snowboardvintage #vintagesnowboardads #funkyspray #funkyvintage #luciolongoni #snowboardcollection #snowboardstyle #snowboardstories @funkysnowboards @museo_italiano_snowboard_ by @snowboard_stories
When I met @chuckbarfoot in his surf workshop in Ventura (north of Los Angeles), and he gave me an old t-shirt with an iconic photo for @barfootboards , I asked him what snowboard he had used to take that magnificent photo. He showed me an old black board and after a while that snowboard came away with me to go and stay permanently in the Italian Snowboard Museum (@museo_italiano_snowboard_ ) . . . . #snowbording #vintagesnowboards by @snowboard_stories

BURTON AIR 1989 🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼 The fathers and pioneers sacrificed and used their passion to fight the opposition of a very traditional ski society. But ultimately, it was the laid-back skater attitude that allowed the first snowboarders to find their place on the mountain. While snowboarding hasn’t seeped into a long history like skiing, it’s a younger, cooler version, definitely reflecting the cool kids choosing one board over two. #snowboarding #snowboardhistory #vintagesnowboardtrader #vintagestyle #vintagesnowboarding #snowboardvintage #burtonvintage #burton #busrtonair #jakeburton @burton @burtonsnowboardcollection @burtoneurope by @snowboard_stories
Kemper Freestyle 1989 👊🏼 it was left unseen in a shop in Milan, new and never used!! a piece of history🔥🔥🔥 Kemper Snowboards was officially founded in 1987 by David Kemper who built the first boards in his garage in Ontario, Canada dating back to the winter of 1984/85. Once the brand started to gain momentum, Kemper moved its board production to a snowboard factory in Montreal, Canada for the 1988/89 snowboarding season. In 1989/90 the snowboard production moved to Austria. #snowboarding #vintagesnowboard #snowboardvintage #kempersnowboards #kempervintage #kemperfreestyle #snowboardstyle #snowboardstory @kempersnowboards @kempersnowboardsjapan by @snowboard_stories
