When We Kiss Minifest (named for the song “Such Great Heights” by The Postal Service) is a community driven mini music festival curated and cultivated by Chattanooga’s alternative and songwriter music scenes.

When We Kiss brings together young Chattanooga based indie bands/songwriters in a backyard festival setting featuring local artists and organizations tabling in our forested Highland Park terrain, including Strike Magazine, local zines, and more! The festival seeks to encourage inclusivity and agency in our growing alternative music scene.

The festival’s founders, Luke Palumbo, Gracie Stone, and Brendan Downes, are working in collaboration with SoundCorps’s Community Concert program to bring their vision to life.

Oh & yes, costumes are encouraged!

Happy bandcamp Friday! The debut Snow Clone EP is now available on CD (featuring a bonus track from Paul Coffield)! Thank you for all the support on the EP, writing the debut album right now and I’m more motivated to create than ever.

Since today is bandcamp Friday if you use the link in my bio and purchase the cd or digital bandcamp version all the proceeds will go directly to us today (but only today!) You can listen to the ep on all the streaming services.

We loved playing these past few shows and ending the Sun local tour on a high note ⚔️❄️ by @snowcloneband

Next up we’re introducing Snow Clone! Snow Clone will be playing fourth at When We Kiss Minifest. Their set starts at 8:30pm. Scroll to learn a little more about the indie rock band.

Snow Clone is the musical project of guitarist and singer-songwriter Brendan Downes. Raised in Atlanta, Georgia, Downes began writing melodies at a young age and would go on to form Snow Clone and release a self-recorded EP in college. Backed by the creative and expressive rhythm section of Gus Goldsmith and Jackson Thatcher, Snow Clone ebbs and flows between driving indie rock moments and spacey dream pop ballads.

While Snow Clone’s music can certainly be characterized by its youthful confidence, it is Downes’ blearily romantic yet candid reflections on young adulthood that unify the indie rock project’s discography so far. taken in Highland Park by @snowcloneband
