I’ve found that having a table right at the front of my booth at markets makes my candles feel more approachable, attracts more shoppers, and usually leads to more conversations (and more sales ✨).

Here’s why ⬇️

➡️ A lot of shoppers feel hesitant to walk into a booth.
It can feel like they’re entering someone else’s space — which makes it feel like more of a commitment. And sometimes people don’t want to step in unless they’re sure they want to buy.

➡️ Walk-in booths also look “full” really fast.
All it takes is 1–2 groups of shoppers and suddenly people passing by assume the booth is crowded and keep moving.

➡️ A front table makes it easier for people to browse casually.
Folks can peek, sniff candles, read labels, ask questions, and still feel comfortable — even if others are there too.

➡️ And honestly… it’s easier for me too 😅
When my table is up front, I’m not squeezed into the back trying to take payments and answer questions. I get to interact with customers right where they are.

That said — I know some makers LOVE walk-in style booths and do amazing with them. Every business is different 💛
