Some Electrobass fun from my Europe trip in October! The first three slides are Leo Caputo @the_leocaputo trying the Electrobass out at the Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm. He was a natural at it, and I invited him to join me on Electrobass for my gig at Skaiv the next day. The last couple slides are me testing out using the Electrobass to control Alberto de Campo’s @alberto.decampo NonTrivial Musical instrument software for some real insanity at the University of the Arts in Berlin. by @snyderphonics

Another Electrosteel jam - this one I'm playing around with doing feedback and harmonics on one of the physical modeling string synthesis modes I put in there. If you live near Nashville, come try it out at an event on Tuesday, 4/23, put on by @steelguitarartscouncil.For this synthesis model, I'm taking lots of inspiration from @ogtsi's Living String model and research papers by the folks at Aalto University (esp. Matti Karjalainen and Vesa Välimäki) by @snyderphonics

Release day! So proud that the new @owenlake_ record, Bury Deep My Heart is now out in the world. We worked so hard on it, and a bunch of amazing musicians contributed. All the tunes are originals by us (@anicarissi and me). It’s released on @carrierrecords You can find the vinyl, CD, and download at Bandcamp, or stream it in any of your usual places. About the band:Owen Lake and the Tragic Loves’ electro-country sound draws from the traditions of 1960s country, 1980s dream pop, and modern electronic dance music, mixed with an experimental aesthetic all Lake’s own. Clever yet emotional lyrics, virtuosic musicianship, and a deep love of country music’s past plus a startling new vision for its future combine in Bury Deep My Heart, the band’s second full-length record and first of all original songs, written by award-winning author and fiddle player Anica Mrose Rissi with composer and electronic musician Jeff Snyder, who is also Lake’s producer, manager, and doppelgänger. Thanks to all who came out to celebrate with us in Brooklyn last night. See you soon at our Princeton and Nashville shows! by @snyderphonics
