SUII’s Seat 001: A conversation with Papii Abz

Makeup artistry is such an intimate service and a hub for some of thee most interesting, thought-provoking conversations with some of the most incredible people. My chair serves as a safe space for those moments, and on this occasion, I was honoured to have @nsg_papii from thee trailblazing NSG in my chair.

In this first instalment of our male grooming series, we explore Abz’s thoughts on makeup, his mindset around presence and preparedness, and who he is beyond the music. He’s truly one of the most introspective and thoughtful people I’ve had the pleasure of speaking with. These moments in my chair, while he gets his makeup done, reveal the depth of who he is beyond the artist; offering a glimpse into the person behind the music.

I understand that makeup for men on set is still a misunderstood space, and I hope this video helps show that there’s really nothing to be afraid of. 🤣

Here’s to creating a safe space for every beautiful person who sits in SUII’s Seat - please know that your voice is valued here!
