@MaybeHappyEnding Debut Alert! Sam Simahk (@soapboxsam) will be making his GIL BRENTLEY Debut in Maybe Happy Ending on Broadway this weekend! I’m sure his Gil is going to be absolutely incredible. This is Sam’s second debut in the show, meaning that after he makes his Oliver Debut, he’ll be the first person to play all 3 roles! 💜🎙️

Sam recently joined the show as a Standby for Oliver/James/Gil, and when he finishes his debuts he will make history as the first performer to play all 3 male-identifying roles! It’s been a crazy summer… We closed @giuliamusical two days ago, and tonight I officially join @maybehappyending as an understudy for all three male roles. I had my put-in rehearsal for Oliver on Friday, which may explain why Father Paolo became Brother Paolo for the last week of the run. Thanks to everybody who made this absurdly abundant summer possible!! taken in New York, New York by @soapboxsam

I’m going to miss Father Paolo—and everything about Giulia. This has been both a wonderful personal experience and an incomparable career highlight. Don’t mind me as I get nostalgic on our last day…

My first day in costume - designed by the incredible @anakuzmanic_costume

Sitzprobe in my Thai finest

This group of incredible, endlessly talented, hilarious beautiful humans. Not a bad egg in the bunch—we’ve been so lucky

The opening night lewk

The opening night dates - celebrating with some of my besties, @merekotecki1313 and @kotecki before their big move to North Carolina 😭

Being reunited with this bunch of Gatsbaddies (joined here with OG Giulia PSM @erin.gioia.albrecht on her last day—we miss you, Erin!)

Let the waters riiiiiiiiise

Commutes home with all the upper westerners

The beard (RIP, I miss you already)

Goodbye, Father Paolo—the one good man in Palermo. I hope we meet again. taken in PAC NYC by @soapboxsam
