Things stay the same until you finally surrender. Real change begins the moment you stop trying to control everything and let God lead. His plan rarely looks like what we expected — but it always looks exactly how He intended.

For years, I thought the biker life was my identity. I loved it, lived it, and believed it defined me. But God worked on me slowly, drip by drip. He showed me that the brotherhood I was chasing was temporary… and that the real brotherhood is found in Christ.

He took away the taste for alcohol, and today I’m over 2 years free from casual drinking. Now my wife and I co‑lead Celebrate Recovery at one of our church campuses, helping people break free from addictions, hurts, habits, and hang‑ups. We spend our time building people up, not breaking ourselves down.

If you’re reading this, maybe today is your turning moment.
Surrender. Let God lead. Watch what He rebuilds.

By the time a child turns 12, parents have already spent about 75% of the total in-person time they will ever spend with them.

Parents are no longer just protectors, we are translators.

The most valuable skill a parent can have is curiosity of knowing who they can become.   The future belongs to adaptable humans. Every generation of parents has prepared children for a changing world.

I have walked into dark places before, and I have seen people carrying a spirit of darkness—but every single time, Jesus shows up with LIGHT. Darkness never wins in His presence. This weekend, while cleaning out the remnants of an evicted tenant, we opened the freezer and found three Santa Muerte candles. That is not casual symbolism. That is not harmless decoration. That is an idol tied to one of the deepest levels of spiritual darkness people can serve. The moment I saw them, my spirit stood up. I immediately declared the blood of Jesus over the entire property. I rebuked every demonic spirit, every residue, every assignment that might have lingered. And as always—they fled. Because when Jesus steps in, darkness doesn’t negotiate.
It doesn’t resist.
It runs.There is no power in hell that can stand against the name of Jesus Christ ☝️🙏🙌

For more than thirty years, I’ve lived with exertional migraines — the kind that don’t just slow you down, they try to stop you. I’ve had neck surgery, tried every medication out there, and pushed through days when staying in shape felt impossible. But I kept going. And in the last year, new treatments finally gave me enough relief to start rebuilding. I still get three to four migraines a week, but I’ve learned to live with them, work with them, and keep moving forward anyway. I’m sharing this because I want you to know: you can do it too.
It starts when you’re sick and tired of being sick and tired. When you decide your circumstances don’t get the final say. When your mind, body, and spirit line up, nothing can stop you. Your challenges don’t define you. Your determination does. Keep pushing. Keep rising. You’re stronger than what’s trying to hold you back.

God often leads us through challenging seasons—not to be harsh, but to reveal how we respond under pressure. These moments stretch us, strengthen us, and show whether we will stand firm in our faith. My wife and I recently went through a 90‑day season with an extremely problematic tenant who was involved in criminal activity in one of our units. The leasing company offered very little guidance, so we stepped in directly, worked with local authorities, and after an extensive investigation, law enforcement finally arrested the individuals. Real‑estate investing is often presented as an easy path to wealth, but the difficult realities and unexpected situations rarely get mentioned. This experience was a significant learning lesson for us—and a reminder that God is good through every season.

I am incredibly grateful for the invitation Celina and The Elliott Group extended for me to join their podcast. From the very beginning, it was clear that God was in the details. We were introduced through a mutual connection who shared the same core values: God, family, and self‑improvement — and everything progressed naturally from there. From the moment I arrived at their facility, the excellence was undeniable. Andy and his wife Jacque have built an environment where every detail matters — from how they run the business to how they welcome a guest. Their leadership sets the tone. I also had the opportunity to meet Jim Steg, the builder overseeing their expansion. Even he and his team reflected the same values The Elliott Group lives by. That consistency says everything about the culture they’ve created. If I had to summarize their values in one phrase, it would be Mind, Body, and Spirit.

Mind — A commitment to mental discipline, accountability, and building others up. Everyone is focused on sharpening their mindset and elevating the people around them.

Body — Stewarding the physical “temple” God gave them. Not for vanity, but to show themselves and their families that they are committed to being the best version of who they were created to be.

Spirit — A shared understanding that Jesus is King. True success isn't possible without Him at the center.

There is so much more I could say about this experience, but above all, I am grateful — grateful for the invitation, the hospitality, the alignment of values, and the reminder that when God orchestrates something, it always exceeds expectations.

So many people are stuck in the same numbing cycle, and at this point it’s become nothing more than a habit. But the real strength — the real flex — is being able to move through your day or your week without needing a vice to carry you.We tell ourselves, “I only drink to take the edge off,” or “I only smoke to help with the pain.” But no matter how we package it, those are just reasons we give ourselves to avoid the truth: we’re not ready to let go and build a healthier, stronger version of who we could be. As men, we’re called to lead our families in Christ — not just with our words, but with our example. Our kids are watching. Our families are following. And they deserve a man who is aligned, disciplined, and anchored in something greater than temporary relief. When you align your mind, body, and spirit, transformation isn’t just possible — it’s inevitable. Step out of the numbing. Step into the man you were created to be.

About a year ago, I had the idea to walk from my home church campus to our campus in Mesa. I shared the vision with two brothers I knew were capable of taking on the challenge, and together we set a date.

When people asked why, the answer was simple: step into something uncomfortable, something hard, and see what you’re truly capable of. Too many of us have settled into comfort and stopped pushing ourselves.

This “Ironman walk” stretched me in every way. It was painful, it was difficult, and there were moments when I genuinely wasn’t sure I would make it. But through prayer, motivation, and determination, all three of us finished the journey.

Here are the stats from the day:

- 58,716 steps
- 3,695 calories burned
- 28.4 miles
- 9 hours to complete

You have the power to change the direction of your life and your family’s future. When you make God the center, even small adjustments begin to create major shifts. Invest in yourself. Strengthen your mind. Build your spirit.

Remove anything that poisons your growth. Start by cutting out the things that have a grip on you — alcohol, drugs, tobacco, porn, sugar, or anything else that keeps you from becoming who you were meant to be.

Face each day fully present and unfiltered, and you’ll discover a version of yourself you may not have seen in years. You were created for more — now is the time to find out what that “more” truly is.

Most of us are at halftime in life. Make the second half count.

Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

If you’re reading this, you might be at a point where you’re ready for a change — and that change may be inviting Jesus into your heart and letting Him take the wheel. From there, everything begins to shift.

I spent many years living life my own way, and it took time for me to understand my true purpose. Like so many others, I’ve made mistakes, treated people poorly, lived selfishly, and trusted my own path over God’s.

Today, I ask God to be part of every decision my family and I make.

As men, we’re called to lead our families with faith and integrity. You can’t take anything with you to Heaven — but you can bring people with you.
