Tree Walk and Nature journaling with @jyothis_thayil at Sarovaram biopark.

Standing under the shade of an old tree, we weren’t just looking at bark and leaves — we were witnessing a living ecosystem: a miniature terrarium that quietly sustains countless insects, nurtures new saplings, offers shade to travellers, and creates life beneath the soil.

When was the last time you touched a tree — really felt it — and listened to what it’s trying to tell the world?
How it breathes life into the space around it, how it becomes a mini terrarium, and how deeply we can connect with it if we simply pause and pay attention?

The Tree Walk by Jyothis @jyothis_thayil was all about that connection. These trees don’t just exist — they create life around them: nurturing saplings, sheltering countless species and insects, and building a thriving world beneath their roots.

Today, at Sarovaram, we were joined by an extraordinarily enthusiastic group, eager to learn, observe, and carry home new knowledge — all from spending time with just one tree.

Today was such a day — one that reminded us how much life is happening quietly around us, if only we choose to look.

Tree Walk & Nature Journaling with Jyothis.

Have you ever stood beneath an old tree and wondered about the stories it holds? Trees are living witnesses of time — keepers of shade, shelter, and silence. Thursday morning, we invite you to slow down, walk among them, and rediscover your bond with nature.

Led by Jyothis (Naturalist, Artist) @jyothis_thayil, this walk is not just about identifying trees but about experiencing them — their textures, sounds, and presence. Through nature journaling, you’ll learn to record your observations, thoughts, and sketches, creating a personal memory of the morning.

Eco printing joy echoing in the air!.

From the moment we gathered, curiosity and laughter filled the space. What began with plain fabrics and simple conversations soon turned into something magical — each person walking away with their own hand-dyed t-shirt, carrying the colours of nature.

This Eco Printing & Natural Dyeing workshop was not just about learning a technique, but about slowing down, creating together, and discovering how alive and beautiful natural colours can truly be.

A heartfelt thanks to our mentor Rizvana @_rizarte for guiding us with such warmth, and to @akam_thespace for being the perfect naturally beautiful venue.

Grateful to our coordinators — Farzana, Nazrin @black_lover_lady, and @niyaaz_kp — with the support of VP @vp_rajatham, who ensured everything flowed with grace.
