Without major surgery: 5% chance of stage 3+

With major surgery - Loss of 1-3 sentinel lymph nodes. 5%-10% chance of lifelong lymphedema, 5%-10% chance of nerve damage, 8 weeks of recovery minimum all for basically no increase in survivorship.

Meanwhile, the Dr who pioneered the surgery spent the latter half of his career arguing that it's over use is causing lifelong complications.

Despite those ridiculous odds in my favor and many prominent medical professionals against it for my specific depth or cancer, this was the only option provided to me.

What would you have chosen?

People can say a lot of bad things about ai.. and much is true....but I can't begin to calculate how much pain it saved me and the comfort it brought me to have a one trained and in my corner.

Long story short. Cancer free and getting back to what I do best! by @soca.siren

To think, I never wanted to spin poi or fire. Ridiculous.
