Our 2026 Community Days Calendar is HERE!📍🗓️

This year we're back and bigger than ever with a fresh new vibe for our events!

If you’ve joined us before, you might remember these as Mapping Days, but now that we’ve mapped so many places across the UK, it’s time to make the most of it. Think less mapping, more socialising, exploring, and enjoying accessible spaces together 🎉

So what actually happens on a Sociability Community Day? 🤔

– We meet around 1pm at the chosen location. ⏰

– We make sure everyone is set up with the Sociability app on their phone, then it’s time to get social, and dive into some fun activities with the team! 📱

– We’ll have some time to relax, chat, and debrief together before wrapping up at around 4pm - but you’re very welcome to join us for as long as you like! 🍰

Save the dates! 📍🗓️
Fri 24 April – London
Fri 8 May – Sheffield
Fri 5 June – Leeds
Fri 3 July – Manchester
Fri 7 Aug – London
Fri 4 Sept – Newcastle

We can’t wait to see you there! Sign up now using the link in our bio or scan the QR code. If you have any question, don't hesitate to drop us a message!

What if 30 seconds of your time could save thousands of Disabled people a wasted journey? 🎉

One of the biggest barriers Disabled people face isn’t always the venue itself. It’s not knowing what to expect before arriving.

By uploading a few photos of a venue’s entrance, seating, and toilets to the Sociability app, you’re helping build a map that makes it easier for thousands of people to plan with confidence. 📸

You don’t have to be Disabled to make a difference. Every photo helps someone make a more informed decision about where to go.

Download Sociability for free today via the link in our bio and help us make accessibility information available to everyone 🙌

Everyday, Disabled people face unnecessary barriers from blocked pavements and dropped kerbs. You can help change that today! 🚨

Join Sociability’s #ClearTheKerb movement!

Bins, e-bikes, parked cars, and outdoor furniture might look like minor inconveniences, but they force Disabled people into dangerous roads, cause lengthy detours, or stop journeys entirely. 🚧

That’s why we’ve launched free sticker packs to place on temporary obstructions. Each sticker calls out the barrier and reminds people that our streets must be safe and accessible for everyone.

You don’t have to be Disabled to get involved - this campaign is for everyone. The more people who spot, sticker, and share barriers (tag us!), the harder they are to ignore. 📢

Want to take action? Order your free sticker pack via the link in our bio.

Carry them with you, snap a photo when you use one, and help us make accessibility impossible to ignore. 🤝

Would you travel 30 minutes to a restaurant without knowing if you could get through the door? 🤔

Disabled people make that gamble every day.

Three simple photos can tell someone far more than the word “accessible” ever could.

When you visit somewhere, just snap a photo of the entrance, indoor or outdoor seating and the toilet. These photos can help someone know what to expect before making the journey. 📸

And now, it’s even easier to share them with our brand new Contribute button.

Simply open Sociability, search for the venue, tap Contribute and add your photos to help grow the map and make accessibility information easier to find.

Update your app or download Sociability for free and start contributing! Link in our bio. 📲

Access needs aren’t “special treatment”. 💙

Step-free access. Somewhere to sit. An accessible toilet. Clear signage. Lower noise levels. Everyone’s needs look different.

That’s why “accessible” alone doesn’t tell us enough.

Sociability gives you the details about a place, so you can decide whether it works for your access needs.

What’s one accessibility detail that makes a real difference to you? 👇

Finding accessible places has never been easier! 📍

We’ve just made some big updates to Sociability. Here’s everything you need to know.

– Our new Contribute button makes it easier to add photos, reviews and accessibility alerts all from one place. ✅

– Smart Tagging and Alt Text. We’ll automatically tag your photos and write the alt text for you.

– Explore our brand new map, with Sociability Verified Places mapped across the UK alongside places contributed by our community. 🗺️

– Find places faster with our improved search, and search landmarks, stations and other places to discover what’s nearby. 🔍

And if you find somewhere that isn’t on the map yet, you can be the first to add it and help us grow the map!

Whether you’re looking for somewhere new to visit or adding information to help someone else, you can play a part in growing the Sociability map and making accessibility information easier to find.

Can wheelchair users get the tram in Manchester? 🚋♿️

The answer is yes!

With step-free stations, level boarding, designated wheelchair spaces and passenger help-points, Manchester’s @beenetworkgm Metrolink makes getting around by tram much more accessible.

And once you’re in the city, use Sociability to find accessible cafés, restaurants, shops and more, and explore Manchester with confidence. Link in our bio!

Have you used the Metrolink or a similar tram network? What was your experience like? 👇

You genuinely couldn’t write it. 😭

While filming a video about the strange things people say to wheelchair users, someone stopped us in the street, handed us a leaflet and told us we could be “fixed” so we wouldn’t need our wheelchairs anymore.

The timing was almost impressive! 😂

What’s the strangest thing someone has ever said to you? 👇
