Whilst we mourn the recent news of the closure of @thebakery_liverpool , we want to look back on some memories from our last party in that very special place. Thank you to @ryan__ingleby for showing what he’s best at, as well as our residents @_________dmc and @nae__n4e for their respective killer opening and closing sets; @offpeak_aly , @maliss_a , and @offpeak.la for their fantastic tone-setting B2Bs in the pre-party; our crowd for bringing their beautifully powerful energy from start to finish; and finally, to the team at The Bakery for the work they consistently put in over the last six months. Whilst the space is gone, the spirit and community will never die — and we can rest assured that there are still very exciting plans in the pipeline. This isn’t the end, but a new beginning. A man who has always had a preference towards his craft and the all-round nightlife culture as opposed to accolades, Ryan is one of the three minds over at Mugpie who have helped pave the way in Leeds and the North as a whole. As well as this, he is one of the forces behind Manchester's Persona, integral to carving out Persona's wholly unique personality and ardour, emitting creativity that's truly distinctive—both endeavors showing his level of commitment to the northern scene. On the night, expect an absorbing, divergent electronic spectrum of wax that has been built with care for well over a decade and shared with fortunate dancers and enthusiasts all over (most recently and frequently with its new heir, baby Thea). On the 1st of Feb, we introduce to Liverpool, for his first (official) headline spot at Social Hours: Your Friendly Neighbourhood Pudding; Daddy Cool; Ryan Ingleby. by @social.hours

Pre-Party @ The Kaz Gardens  In anticipation of our next party so we've decided to host a pre party in Liverpool's favourite garden, @kazimiergarden Get out early, sink some well earned, post-dry (or not so dry) Jan beverages that little earlier. Leading the charge for this in a b2b long in the making, will be our sisters and 2 of Liverpool's shining stars in the form of @maliss_a and @aly_pppppp . They'll safely set the tone for the night's proceedings by sharing more evidence of why their sounds are so sought after of late. If that wasn't enough for you as well, the return of the McNay (@nae__n4e and @_________dmc ) to warm us up along with the fires in the garden, before the business in the Bakery. If you're familiar with McNay you'll know that it's worth getting to from the start. This is a Free Party so stop by and say hello and soak in some familiar vibes. SH w/ Ryan Ingleby To set our 2025 in motion, the first Social Hours of the year brings our old friend, Ryan Ingleby, to play his Liverpool debut. / A celebrated collector, a magician with wax and a Yorkshire veteran, Ryan has undoubtedly played a key role in shaping our section of the Northern scene. We’re still riding the high from the magic of Saturday night! It was a party that meant so much to us, reminding us why we love doing what we do—and why we’ll keep doing it. Thank you to the master of Dark Arts, @chin_dj8 for showcasing his excellent talent; his deep and enigmatic sound; and for whipping you all into an absolute frenzy. Thank you to @louie_____g for setting the mood perfectly with another flawlessly apt warmup set. Huge appreciation to @lofi_future for the stunning visual effects that kept us mesmerized all night long. A massive shout out and lots of love to @thebakery_liverpool and their team for their incredible hospitality and behind-the-scenes work in creating a venue that embodies many of the values we hold close to us.  It is an honor to welcome a new grassroots, community, and creative driven venue to the city. Their commitment to fostering a positive nightlife culture in Liverpool is truly admirable. And of course, the biggest thank you goes to you! The movers and shakers and beautiful souls that expel the energy and vibe.   Thank you to the old friends of the night who traveled the country to be with us; to our adored local rabble who attend without fail every time; and to the brand new friends who came, understood the ethos and uplifted it with us all. Without all of you, our parties wouldn’t be the same—you inspire and energise us every single time. Next stop: Boxing Day! Our festive tradition. More info coming this week... VENUE UPDATE Following the unfortunate cancellation of our last date, we're doing a little shift in direction. On 16th November, our rescheduled party with @chin_dj8 will now take place at Liverpool's latest arts space, @thebakery_liverpool . Despite only being in its infancy, the team there is at the forefront of some truly innovative, and refreshing ideas. We hope The Bakery ignites a new chapter for Liverpool’s arts and underground nightlife culture. We’re thrilled to work with a collective that aligns so closely with our ethos and values. This really isn’t one to be missed. As before, resident @louie_____g will be setting the tone, so arrive early and stay late, as the night shapes up to be a special one. Tickets are available on RA. SH w/ Bai... There's nothing quite like a Social Hours on home turf. Everytime we do an event here it's reminder of how music, arts and culture is so deeply embedded in the fabric of the city and it's people. B.ai is the latest addition to add her mark to the city. A huge thank you to the coolest about, who lit up Social Hours in a way we rarely see, one that suited the crowd and city alike. We can't wait to see where her sonic excursions take her and her career 🚀 And of course, another masterclass from the Chosen One, Louie G. If you know, you seriously know. 🌚 Huge thank you to the incredible Poly One Audio - an initiative in it's infancy but with a burning commitment to quality and support for grassroots music scene in Liverpool, armed with that killer soundsystem. Yet again, love to Round The Corner for being our Scouse home, we'll be back soon ❤️ Aaaaand most of all, thanks to all of you for being the best crowd a party could ask for! It keeps us inspired to continue creating parties despite the difficulties promoters, nightlife and club culture faces. In the many years that Louie G has dedicated himself to music, he has for so many been the guy flying under the radar. With residencies starting with CHOKE in Manchester, to Social Hours and now with Persona, he has plied his trade in bedrooms, basements, boats and more and more frequently, in big clubs. During these years, Louie has built up an almost mythical record collection, honing in his seamless mixing style that you can hardly believe is possible, combined with a curational awareness that puts him up there with the best of the best... actually though. Now he's coming more and more to the limelight through the burgeoning Persona and the good word of our lord and saviour, Louie G, has rightly spread across the lands. We can't wait to welcome Louie, as the longest serving Social Hours resident, for an extended set at Round the Corner this Saturday. Probably our favourite thing about Social Hours is connecting and spotlighting up and coming artists that deserve to stand out. It would be hard to find a Producer and DJ making more noise than one of our newest comrades - B.ai. Hailing from Cheng Du, China, B.ai's production style has led to releases on some of Europes most reputable underground electronic labels. Injecting her personality and spirit into her craft, B.ai's music is infectious, curious and full of life, with distinctive sonic echoes from her birthplace and heritage. Her DJing is equally expansive; tingling with melodic elements and grounded by a bass and drums with more than enough attitude to get you moving. It's safe to say her bag is packed with tunes for the party goers and the chinstrokers alike. For our first party of 2024, we can't wait to host B.ai, who is joining our resident and lord and saviour Louie G in our favourite party place in Liverpool right now, Round The Corner on the 13th of April. SH w/ B.ai B.ai, following on from Podcast 007, has landed on UK shores from the lands of China to offer up her acclaimed sound palette to Liverpool, and we really can't wait. @b.ai_motivation + Louie G, our longest serving resident and genius of our time, called up to do what he does best; give us something to dance to. @lou__gou + This is all happening at the intimate Round the Corner on 13th of April.
