![[UPDATE]
We are beyond stoked to announce that Wyatt Young (@wyatt_young33) will be joining us as our drummer moving forward.
Not only is Wyatt an incredible musician, but he’s deeply involved in the local music scene and brings a level of passion and energy that has us excited for what’s ahead. We can’t wait to hit the stage together and see where this new chapter takes us.
Big love to our brother Nolan (@shotbynoli) for always making us look good (SAY CHIMICHANGA 🌯), and to all of you for the continued support through it all. New music, new videos and more shows coming soon!
We are so back 💚

![[UPDATE]
March was a month full of surprises for us and we want to talk about it. There’s a lot to unpack here, so we appreciate you taking the time to read through.
JAKE’S DEPARTURE -
Jacob communicated to us that, due to extremely sensitive reasons, he wouldn’t be performing any shows with Black Ivar in 2026 anymore as he is taking a break from music entirely to be with his family. We are grateful for all the effort and passion Jacob dedicated to our band in the past year and we wish him the best.
PRESSURE POINT -
In March we also received the news that one of our favourite venues, Take Your Time Back , was being shut down by the City of Vancouver. This space meant a lot to us and to the local community, and its closure left us without a home for the second date of our Pressure Point event.
We did everything we could to find a replacement venue on short notice, reaching out across the city, but unfortunately nothing was available for that date. As a result, we had to make the difficult decision to cancel the second show.
The Chilliwack date on April 24th will still go ahead as planned. However, Tatara (Alberta) will no longer be joining that show. With the changes, it became financially unrealistic for them to travel 10+ hours for a single performance, and we fully support their decision. We have a lot of respect for them and hope to share the stage later in 2026.
Situations like this are never easy, but sometimes they’re simply out of our control. Refunds for the 25th show have already been made.
That’s it 💚

![[DEBUT ALBUM RELEASE]
Words can’t describe how good it is to finally be able to say our debut album will be available EVERYWHERE next Tuesday, March 31st.
This release is a collection of moments and realizations we experienced and grew from over the past year. It was never intended to be a concept album, but as the writing and recording process unfolded, we realized that each song was approaching different sides of the same subject: being human.
Grief, anger, fear, anxiety, passion, insecurity, love... All the emotions that shape who we are appear throughout these songs. When we tried to find a single name that could hold all of those experiences together for our first album, Lovely House felt like the right one.
We can’t control where or how we are born, or the challenges we face along the way. What we can do is work on ourselves every day so that our existence has meaning. In a way, the mind is like a house: we choose how we decorate its walls, how we clear the space within it, and how we care for the body that lives inside it. And with this thought in mind the metaphor is simple, to make our minds a lovely house to live in.
